The 2027 Six Nations runs from Friday, February 5 to Saturday, March 13, 2027, over five rounds and fifteen matches. The opener, Ireland v England in Dublin, kicks off at 9:10 p.m. Paris time, as does the final, Ireland v France, at the same stadium. France play two home matches at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis.
Checked on against the official sources cited, including GOV.UK, Transport for Ireland, the WRU and Trenitalia.
The Six Nations brings six teams, six stadiums and fifteen matches together over five winter weekends in Europe. To plan a trip around a match, you need to pick the right game, understand how tickets work union by union, and sort out your paperwork and your train. Every source below carries its own check date.
1. The 2027 fixtures: fifteen matches over five rounds
Each team plays the other five once, and the fifteen matches are spread over five rounds. Dates and venues were cross-checked between MyComm, Pangaea Sports and Brightside Travel. The kick-off times, given in Paris time, match between MyComm and Pangaea for all fifteen games. Only one time differs, according to Scottish Rugby: Scotland v Wales, flagged in the table.

Source: MyComm and Pangaea Sports, cross-checked with the Brightside Travel guide, checked October 24, 2026. The March 13 date is also confirmed by Transport for Ireland.
What the calendar means for France. France play twice at Saint-Denis, against Wales on Saturday, February 6 and Scotland on Sunday, February 21. They travel three times: to Twickenham on Sunday, February 14, to Rome on Saturday, March 6, then to Dublin on Saturday, March 13, for the match that closes the Championship.
2. Host cities and stadiums, one by one
What follows only includes what the sources we checked can back up.

Dublin: the opener and the final
Dublin hosts two Ireland matches: the opener against England on Friday, February 5, and the match against France on Saturday, March 13, which closes the Championship. Both kick off at 9:10 p.m. Paris time, which is 8:10 p.m. in Dublin. In winter, Ireland and the UK share the same clock.
For the stadium, the train is the simplest option. According to Transport for Ireland, Lansdowne Road DART station is about two minutes’ walk from the Aviva Stadium, and Luas Charlemont is about 25 minutes on foot. The same page says there is no car or bike parking on match day, so skip the car on both nights.
The IRFU has no on-sale date in the sources we checked. Red Bull lists the Ireland v France match of March 13 as sold out, on an undated page: treat that as something to verify, not a settled fact.
Dublin, a weekend to plan early
The Brightside guide recommends arriving the night before a Friday-night match, which applies to February 5. It also warns that hotels fill up fast during the Championship. We found no hotel rates for these dates.
An evening in a Dublin pub, without a match ticket
The private Dublin pub tour, sold on Viator, is a four-hour walk booked for your own group (15 travelers at most), with start times between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. depending on the slot. It gives no access to any stadium and doesn’t replace a match ticket: it’s an outing in the city to add to your stay.
Who it suits: a visitor with a free afternoon around the March 13 match, or a small group arriving February 5 that wants its own tour.
Best timing: the day before or after the match, not the match day itself, since kick-off is at 8:10 p.m. in Dublin.
What to check: the time slot. Availability was checked on October 24, 2026: the slot is open on all 37 days of the window, from February 5 to March 13, 2027. Check it again when you book.
London: Twickenham and a single resale route
Twickenham hosts three England matches: France on Sunday, February 14, Italy on Saturday, February 20, and Scotland on Saturday, March 13. The February 14 match is called « the Crunch » in the calendars we checked. From Paris, London is a Eurostar ride away, while Dublin is a flight: the transport depends on which city you choose (see section 5).
For the free evenings around the match, our pick of 8 experiences to book for a first trip to London offers ideas by neighborhood. Twickenham’s ticketing has its own rules, covered in section 3.
Edinburgh: Murrayfield and three Scotland home matches
Scotland host Italy on Saturday, February 6, Wales on Saturday, February 13 (time to be confirmed), then Ireland on Friday, March 5, in the evening. They travel to Saint-Denis on Sunday, February 21 and to Twickenham on Saturday, March 13. Edinburgh is therefore a base for three separate match weekends, so pick based on the opponent.
Scottish Rugby’s ticket page could not be read (access refused), and we found no on-sale date.
Cardiff: the Principality Stadium
The stadium now carries the name Principality Stadium. The former name, Millennium Stadium, still appears in older sources. Wales host Ireland on Saturday, February 20, then England on Saturday, March 6. France don’t play there in 2027. For tickets, see section 3: in Wales, sales go through the clubs.
Rome: the Stadio Olimpico and three Italy matches
Italy host Ireland on Saturday, February 13, France on Saturday, March 6, then Wales on Saturday, March 13. The Rome tourist office lists this schedule but notes it may still change: confirm the dates before you book a non-refundable hotel.
Italian tickets go through TicketOne, as cited by the Rome tourist office. We found no on-sale date. The only rail offer documented for these matches concerns Rome: it’s detailed in section 5.
Saint-Denis: the Stade de France
France host Wales on Saturday, February 6 and Scotland on Sunday, February 21. No sales were found in the sources we checked as of October 24, 2026; the French Rugby Federation’s ticket site was not read.
We don’t detail the transport lines here: the Stade de France help page could not be read (access refused). Check your route on the day.
3. Tickets for 2027: no single box office, and no official price for France
The Championship doesn’t sell tickets itself. Each union sells seats for its home matches under its own rules, often through clubs. We found no on-sale notice in the sources checked as of October 24, 2026 for France’s matches; the FFR ticket site was not read. No union has published an official 2027 price in the sources we checked.
| Union | Home matches in 2027 | How tickets are sold | Known on-sale date |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wales (WRU) | Cardiff, February 20 and March 6 | through clubs; club links mandatory from October 1, 2026 | club sales from August 2026, price not checked |
| England (RFU) | Twickenham, February 14, February 20 and March 13 | through clubs for members; resale only through the RFU Ticket Exchange | clubs from August 26, 2026 (one club’s notice, unofficial) |
| Scotland (Scottish Rugby) | Murrayfield, February 6, February 13 and March 5 | clubs and supporters first | not found (page refused when we checked) |
| Ireland (IRFU) | Aviva Stadium, February 5 and March 13 | clubs, members and ballots | not found |
| Italy (FIR) | Stadio Olimpico, February 13, March 6 and March 13 | general public sales (TicketOne, according to the Rome tourist office) | not found |
| France (FFR) | Stade de France, February 6 and 21 | no announcement found | no date found (FFR ticket site not read) |
Source: WRU, Bees Rugby, Turismo Roma, checked October 24, 2026. Scottish Rugby and the FFR had no usable source in this file.
Wales: the club link, not the general box office
In Wales, supporters buy through their club’s ticket links. Since October 1, 2026, the link lets the club earn a £2 commission per ticket, according to the WRU. For a match in Cardiff, contact the Welsh club nearest you.
England: Twickenham resale only at face value
The RFU allows only one resale platform, its official Ticket Exchange, and only at face value at most. Reselling through a third-party platform breaks the terms: the ticket can be cancelled without refund. A 2011 High Court ruling, published by The National Archives, backs this position for tickets resold above face value.
The prices in circulation: indicative, never official
Resale sites show prices from a few hundred euros, sometimes more than a thousand. These figures are neither official nor attributable to any union.
| Match | Source | Type | Indicative amount | Checked |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ireland v France (March 13) | Ticombo | resale, from | about €1,213 | October 24, 2026 |
| Ireland v France (March 13) | Ticket-Compare | resale, from | about $1,329 USD | October 24, 2026 |
| England v France (February 14) | SeatPick | resale, « more than £250 » (promotional guide, date not given) | more than £250 | October 24, 2026 |
| France v Wales (February 6) | Pangaea Sports | travel package, from | €890 | October 24, 2026 |
| Italy v France (March 6) | Pangaea Sports | travel package, from | €340 | October 24, 2026 |
Sources: Ticombo, Ticket-Compare, SeatPick, Pangaea Sports, checked October 24, 2026.
A travel agency lists « official » tickets from €175 for a France match, a label we could not check with the federation. Packages rarely spell out what’s included: meals and insurance may be left out of the base price.
4. Entry paperwork: the UK ETA, Irish ID rules and the EES
The table sets out the rules by country, with the check date of each source.
| Country or place | Requirement | Rule | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| United Kingdom | ETA | £20 per traveler, children included, according to GOV.UK; a range of £16 to £20 is cited elsewhere, to be confirmed | GOV.UK, checked October 24, 2026 |
| Ireland | ID document | national identity card accepted according to the Brightside guide, to be checked | Brightside Travel, checked October 24, 2026 |
| Schengen area (Italy) | EES | in service since April 2026; summer flexibility ended in early September 2026 | Travelling for Business, checked October 24, 2026 |
| Dublin (Aviva Stadium) | stadium access | DART Lansdowne Road about two minutes’ walk away; no car or bike parking on match day | Transport for Ireland, checked October 24, 2026 |
ETA: required for the UK
Whether your trip stays in London or also takes in Edinburgh or Cardiff, you need an ETA before you enter the UK. GOV.UK says that for travelers from Europe an ETA is usually required rather than a visa, and it allows a stay of up to six months. If you hold a US passport, check on GOV.UK whether the rules apply to you.
For the step-by-step, read our guide to the UK ETA before London. The amount shown on GOV.UK is £20. A French government information page dated March 2026 gives a range of £16 to £20: that figure still needs confirming. Check the amount when you pay, and use only the official site, since GOV.UK warns about sites that imitate the service.
Ireland: is an ID card enough?
Ireland is outside the Schengen area, and the sources we checked don’t mention an ETA for it. The Brightside guide says a national identity card is enough, but we could not confirm that on an Irish government source, so the point still needs checking. If you are not an EU citizen, check whether that rule applies to you. A valid passport avoids any doubt at the border and also covers your return.
EES: the border check for the Schengen area
The Entry/Exit System (EES) records entries of non-EU travelers into the Schengen area. According to Travelling for Business, it has been in service since April 2026, and the summer flexibility, which allowed the checks to be partly suspended, ended in early September 2026.
If you are not an EU citizen, expect to be registered at the border. For EU citizens the system should not apply, but no official source confirms this: check before you travel. Queues have been reported, with no verified duration.
5. Trains, flights and transfers: Rome, London and Dublin
Rome by train with the « Speciale Eventi » offer
Trenitalia offers a « Speciale Eventi » fare for Rome matches, cutting the base price of Frecce trains by up to 75%, provided you hold a ticket for the match and show it on board. You select the offer when you buy, with a code shown on the official page. The code has to be checked when you order: it is not permanent and seats are limited.
- Buy on the Trenitalia app or website, at ticket counters or at authorized agencies.
- The base fare can’t be changed or refunded. The tiRimborso option, €3 extra, allows a partial refund.
- Show your match ticket on board: without it, the offer doesn’t apply.
Source: Trenitalia, Speciale Eventi Sei Nazioni offer, checked October 24, 2026.
London by Eurostar: a booking window still to confirm
The sources don’t agree on the Eurostar booking window. Which? says six to eight months before travel, and another site says 180 days. By calculation, a six-to-eight-month window would have opened tickets for February 14, 2027 between June and August 2026; with 180 days, sales would open on August 18, 2026. That’s an inference to confirm on the Eurostar site. The sources we checked give no fares.
Paris to Dublin: a nonstop of about 1 hour 45 to 1 hour 50
A flight search aggregator lists a nonstop of about 1 hour 45 to 1 hour 50 between Paris and Dublin, with Air France and Aer Lingus named as carriers. It’s a secondary source, with no verified schedule or fare: check schedules with the airlines before you buy.
6. Planning your weekend by profile
The points below rest on the facts checked above.
First time, no car. Dublin is the simplest city to plan around: the DART serves the stadium about two minutes’ walk away, and with no parking on match day, driving is a bad idea. Plan to arrive the day before for February 5, and keep the evening of March 13 free to enjoy the city before kick-off.
Couple looking for a getaway. With a match ticket, the Trenitalia offer cuts the base price of Frecce trains to Rome by up to 75% (section 5). Book the train before the hotel.
Family. France play at Saint-Denis on Saturday, February 6 at 5:40 p.m. (Wales) and on Sunday, February 21 at 4:10 p.m. (Scotland), so kick-offs are late afternoon. No tickets have been found on sale yet: don’t plan the trip around a ticket you don’t have.
Tight budget. Resale prices, from about €1,213 for Ireland v France, are not a benchmark for a tight budget. Travel packages, from €340 for Italy v France, are also indicative. Work out the real cost line by line: ticket, transport, hotel, ETA, insurance, meals.
Reduced mobility. The sources consulted don’t describe stadium accessibility. Ask the stadium or the union about accessible seating before you buy. For the Dublin walking tour, the Viator listing says it is accessible to people with reduced mobility; it says nothing about the route to the stadium.
7. Weather and clothing: plan for cold and damp
We don’t quote temperature averages, since we have no direct source for each city. What is established: the Brightside guide recommends warm, waterproof clothing for the matches in Edinburgh and Dublin, some of which are evening games. For Rome, we found no verified figure.
- A warm layer and a waterproof windbreaker, as recommended by Brightside.
- Shoes with a good sole for evening walks.
- A folding umbrella or a light rain cape to carry for walking.
What other guides don’t tell you
Most travel guides cover the core dates. The three points below, checked against official sources on October 24, 2026, are missing from them.
- Wales: the club link, not the general box office. Since October 1, 2026, supporters must buy through the links their club provides, which earns the club £2 per ticket (WRU, checked October 24, 2026). The Brightside guide stays general on ticketing.
- Dublin: the DART two minutes away, and no parking. Lansdowne Road station is about two minutes’ walk from the Aviva Stadium, and no car or bike parking is open on match day (Transport for Ireland, checked October 24, 2026). The Brightside guide gives a half-hour walk from the city centre, a different reference point.
- UK ETA: every traveler needs one. Babies and children included, each person needs their own ETA (GOV.UK, checked October 24, 2026). The amount, £20 on GOV.UK, should be confirmed when you pay. The Brightside guide mentions the ETA without an amount or any rule for children.

Where can I buy tickets for the 2027 Championship?
There is no single ticket office. Each union sells seats for its home matches, often through clubs. In Wales and England, sales go through clubs. We found no on-sale date in the sources checked for Ireland, Scotland, Italy or France as of October 24, 2026. The table in section 3 covers each case.
Are tickets for France’s matches on sale?
No, not as of the check date: we found no on-sale notice in the sources checked on October 24, 2026, and the French Rugby Federation’s ticket site was not read. The offers you can see come from resellers or travel agencies, with indicative prices that are not official prices. Details are in section 3.
Do I need an ETA for the UK?
Yes, for travelers from France and most of Europe: GOV.UK says an ETA is usually needed rather than a visa, and it costs £20 according to GOV.UK, checked October 24, 2026. US passport holders should check the rules on GOV.UK before they travel. A French government information page dated March 2026 gives a range of £16 to £20: confirm the amount on the official site when you pay.
Do I need an ID card to enter Ireland?
According to the Brightside guide, a national identity card is enough. We couldn’t confirm this on an Irish government source, so the point still needs checking, and if you are not an EU citizen, check whether the rule applies to you. A valid passport avoids the question at the border and also covers your return.
How much does a ticket for Ireland v France 2027 cost?
No official price was found in the sources checked as of October 24, 2026, and no IRFU on-sale date either. Resellers list from about €1,213 (Ticombo) or $1,329 USD (Ticket-Compare), checked October 24, 2026. These are indicative amounts, and a resold ticket guarantees neither the seat nor the price.
Can I take a train to Rome on match day?
Yes, if you hold a match ticket: Trenitalia’s « Speciale Eventi » offer cuts the base price of Frecce trains by up to 75%, under conditions detailed in section 5, and seats are limited. Check the offer code when you order.
Can I resell my Twickenham match ticket?
Only on the RFU’s official Ticket Exchange, at face value at most: a third-party resale can lead to the ticket being cancelled without refund. The details, including the 2011 High Court ruling, are in section 3 of this article.
How do I get to the Aviva Stadium from Dublin?
Take the DART to Lansdowne Road station, about two minutes’ walk from the Aviva Stadium, according to Transport for Ireland. Luas Charlemont is about 25 minutes on foot. No car or bike parking is open on match day, so avoid driving on these nights.
