On 7-8 and 21-22 November 2026, the RER B does not run between Aulnay-sous-Bois and Mitry-Claye, according to the works notices we checked. Bus 9517 from Saint-Denis-Pleyel runs all year: 50 to 55 minutes, €2.05 bought in advance. The flat-rate taxi costs €56 on the right bank and €65 on the left bank, from inside Paris, plus a €4 or €7 booking fee.

Checked on against the works notices and transport pages consulted that day, to be reconfirmed on the official site.

Flying out of Roissy-Charles de Gaulle in November 2026? The RER B, the most direct line from Paris, will be cut on its northern branch on the weekends of 7-8 and 21-22 November, then every weekday evening from 10:45 pm, until an end date that is still disputed. This article sets out the timetable as it stood on 26 October 2026, the priced options for reaching CDG and the points to check before you leave.

1. The timetable of closures, as checked on 26 October 2026

The dates in this timetable come from information sources and works notices checked on 26 October 2026, and should be reconfirmed on the official site before each trip. They come from two sources: a passenger information site, maligneb.fr, which publishes the RER B works timetables, and an extract from the SNCF Réseau page, the network operator, on the replacement of the overhead lines between Aulnay-sous-Bois and Mitry-Claye. The operator pages (RATP, Transilien, Île-de-France Mobilités, Aéroports de Paris) blocked our automated reading that day: none could be read in full. These dates are therefore announcements, not operator confirmations.

Weekends are the hardest hit. On Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November, then Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November, traffic is interrupted between Aulnay-sous-Bois and Mitry-Claye, in both directions, during the day as well as in the evening. The exact start and end times do not appear in the extracts we read.

The weekday cut is shorter each evening, but lasts longer overall. From Monday to Friday, from 10:45 pm, traffic is interrupted between Châtelet-Les Halles or Gare du Nord on one side, and CDG 2-TGV or Mitry-Claye on the other, in both directions. Service resumes the next morning. The trickiest point is the end date. Maligneb gives 11 December 2026 inclusive. Sortir à Paris, in its roundup for the week of 19 to 25 October, gives 10 November 2026 inclusive. The two sources disagree, and we do not settle it: the safest assumption is that the cut stays in force until December, until the operator confirms otherwise.

One last cut is announced from Monday 14 to Friday 18 December 2026, with an evening interruption from 10:45 pm between Aulnay-sous-Bois and CDG 2-TGV. The table below summarises all of it.

Source: maligneb.fr, « Upcoming works on the RER B », and Sortir à Paris, article 291320 for the conflicting end date, checked on 26 October 2026.

During the evening cut, maligneb mentions the replacement buses B2, B3 and B4. We found neither their timetables nor their frequencies for November 2026. So do not plan a night flight on these buses alone.

2. The simplest plan B: bus 9517 from Saint-Denis-Pleyel

A plan B only makes sense if it does not depend on the closure. Bus 9517 meets that condition: it does not run on the RER B tracks, so a cut on the northern branch does not affect it. It has been running since 1 March 2026. The number 9517 does not appear in the IDFM renumbering of August 2026 that we were able to read: check it in the IDFM app before you leave.

Bus 9517: Saint-Denis-Pleyel to CDG

€2.05 bought in advance Year-round 50 to 55 min journey Every 15 to 30 min

Line 9517, run by Transdev, links Argenteuil, Saint-Denis and CDG. It runs every 15 to 30 minutes, according to the same listing. Bus 9517 runs from 5:10 am to 12:30 am according to the cdgfacile page for bus 9517, checked on 26 October 2026; after that it no longer leaves CDG. The first departure is at 5:10 am according to cdgfacile, against 5:20 am in an Ulysse article from February 2026. The journey takes 50 to 55 minutes from Saint-Denis-Pleyel according to cdgfacile, but an Ulysse article from February 2026 puts it at 30 minutes: plan for the upper bound. The Bus-Tram ticket costs €2.05 bought in advance, and €2.55 on board by contactless card.

Highlights

  • No dependence on the RER B: the cut on the northern branch does not affect it.
  • Navigo passes for zones 1 to 5 accepted, according to the same listing.
  • The metro to Saint-Denis-Pleyel is paid separately, with its own ticket.

The weak point is the connection. From Paris, you need to reach Saint-Denis-Pleyel by line 14, by line 13 as far as Carrefour Pleyel, or by RER D. The bus leaves from the Roissypole bus station, a few minutes’ walk from Terminal 3. So leave earlier than usual, and do not rely on the bus journey time alone.

If you are travelling as two or more with suitcases, and you want neither a connection nor a timetable to guess, a private transfer is the option to compare. The price below is the one checked for two adults on six dates in November 2026, with no price variation. Check on the listing what is included, in particular the pick-up point and luggage. Also check that departure and arrival at CDG are included: the listing also covers Orly and Disneyland.

Compared with the taxi, the transfer costs more, but it avoids the connection. For two people, the transfer costs €129, against €60 to €72 for the flat-rate taxi (€56 or €65 plus €4 to €7 booking). It can be cancelled free of charge, a useful point while the end of the closure is not confirmed. The announced journey time is 30 to 50 minutes, according to the Viator listing.

Pixidia tip: check the full route in your mobility app the evening before, connection included, rather than adding up the durations you find here.

3. Taxi and night buses: the options when the RER is not running

Flat-rate taxi and Noctilien

€56 or €65 per ride Noctilien every night €2 on night buses Inside Paris city limits

The taxi remains the option with the most predictable price. An order of 24 December 2025, published in the Journal officiel on 31 December 2025, sets the flat rate at €56 on the right bank and €65 on the left bank, applicable in 2026, according to service-public.gouv.fr, « Taxi flat rates » page, checked on 26 October 2026. The flat rate only applies within Paris city limits, not to suburban communes.

Supplements are added on top: €4 for an immediate booking, €7 for an advance booking, and €5.50 from the fifth passenger. The same page sets an hourly cap of €42.15 outside the flat rate. No luggage supplement is mentioned there.

For very early flights or late returns, the Noctilien night lines N140 and N143 run every night, every 30 to 60 minutes, with a €2 Bus-Tram ticket, according to cdgfacile, Noctilien page. The N143 takes about 55 minutes, via Saint-Denis and Porte de la Chapelle.

The first and last departures are not listed on that page: check them before you leave.

Highlights

  • A known price in advance, with no connection to work out.
  • A night bus that runs every night, including when the RER B is closed.
  • A €2 Bus-Tram ticket on Noctilien, against €2.05 in advance for bus 9517 (€2.55 on board).
Pixidia tip: with three or four travellers and luggage, compare the taxi with four RER tickets (4 × €14, so €56). That comparison only holds outside a closure. The right-bank flat rate comes to a similar price, with a direct journey, provided you add the booking supplements.

4. Three scenarios for planning your journey

Daytime flight on a weekend closure day. The simplest option is bus 9517 if you start from northern Paris or Saint-Denis. If you start from the centre, the RER B remains usable as far as Aulnay-sous-Bois, then you need a replacement bus whose timetable we do not have. Allow a wide margin, check the day before, and compare with a private transfer if you have a lot of luggage.

Evening flight, on a weekday. If the cut is in force, the RER B does not link Paris to CDG from 10:45 pm. Take the RER before that time, or switch to Noctilien or a taxi. Check the end date of the cut before you leave, as it shapes your whole plan.

Return from CDG after midnight. According to the cdgfacile page checked on 26 October 2026, bus 9517 runs from 5:10 am to 12:30 am; after that it no longer leaves CDG. The Noctilien N140 or N143 runs every night, every 30 to 60 minutes. Its first and last departures are not listed: check them before you leave.

5. Before you leave: check-in, luggage, accessibility and the match

Ryanair check-in. According to the press, Ryanair will close its check-in desks and hold-luggage drop 60 minutes before departure from 10 November 2026, against 40 minutes today. The information comes from an Ulysse article dated 23 April 2026. We did not read a Ryanair statement: check the rule on your booking confirmation.

Air France check-in. Practical information sites give 40 minutes before departure for flights within France and Schengen, and 60 minutes outside Schengen, according to cdgfacile. We did not consult any Air France page to confirm this.

Luggage. We did not find any luggage rule specific to the replacement bus, the SNCF shuttle or line 9517 in a readable source. According to the press, a general rule limits the size of luggage allowed on the metro, the RER and the funicular to 75 cm. We did not confirm it on ratp.fr: check before travelling with large bags.

Accessibility. We did not find verified information on the accessibility of the CDG 1 and CDG 2 stations, or of the replacement buses during the works. If you need step-free access, check with the operator before your trip.

The match on Saturday 21 November. The Stade de France hosts France v Argentina on Saturday 21 November at 9:10 pm, according to the extract we read from the stadium ticket page, checked on 26 October 2026. The RER D, with the Stade de France – Saint-Denis station, remains an option for reaching the stadium. La Plaine – Stade de France station, on line B, is to be confirmed on the day. That evening the weekend cut is in force: do not count on the RER B for a flight that Saturday without checking.

What other guides don’t tell you

Several guides and search-engine generated answers still quote outdated or incomplete information. Here are five points checked against open sources or extracts, consulted on 26 October 2026.

  • The flat-rate taxi only applies within Paris city limits, and it has supplements. The €4 or €7 booking fee and the €5.50 from the fifth passenger are added to the flat rate. Source: service-public.gouv.fr, taxi flat rates (checked on 26 October 2026).
  • The RoissyBus no longer exists. Its last service ran on 28 February 2026. Since 1 March 2026, bus 9517 has replaced it, from Saint-Denis-Pleyel and no longer from the Opéra. Source: transbus.org (February 2026 article) and cdgfacile bus 9517 page (both checked on 26 October 2026); the second is an unofficial source.
  • The Paris Region-Airports ticket has cost €14 since 1 January 2026. One article still quotes €13.50, and an older blog €10.30. Source: cdgfacile RER B page, cross-checked against an extract of the 2026 fares page of Île-de-France Mobilités (both checked on 26 October 2026).
  • Bus 9517 costs €2.05 in advance, and €2.55 on board. The on-board fare applies if you did not buy your ticket beforehand. Source: cdgfacile bus 9517 page (checked on 26 October 2026).
  • The November cuts target weekends, not only evenings. A roundup for the week of 19 to 25 October says “the weekend remains unaffected”. That is true for that week only. Source: maligneb.fr, upcoming works (checked on 26 October 2026), and an SNCF Réseau extract on the catenary replacement.

Practical information at Roissy-CDG

The RER B at CDG. Outside a closure, the RER B links Gare du Nord to CDG in 30 to 35 minutes, with a train every 6 to 15 minutes, according to cdgfacile. Service runs, according to the same page, from about 5:00 am to midnight: this window is approximate, and the first and last trains are not listed. The Paris Region-Airports ticket costs €14 (€7 reduced fare), and Navigo passes for zones 1 to 5 include the trip to the airport. We could not confirm the weekly Navigo price on an Île-de-France Mobilités 2026 page, so we do not quote it.

The CDG stations. The CDG 1 RER station is at the heart of Roissypole, 5 to 10 minutes’ walk from Terminal 3. CDG 2 is the TGV-RER station, reachable on foot from halls 2A to 2F in 5 to 10 minutes. The internal CDGVAL shuttle links the terminals, hotels, Roissypole, the car parks and the stations. Its hours conflict between sources: cdgfacile gives 4 am to 1 am, while another site says 24/7. Check them on the Aéroports de Paris website.

The CDG Express, not yet. Its opening is announced for 28 March 2027, with a single fare of €25, according to an Ulysse article dated 30 May 2026, which is not an official source. It will not help during the November 2026 cuts.

Frequently asked questions

Is the RER B cut for CDG airport in November 2026?

Yes, according to the works notices checked on 26 October 2026. On the weekends of 7-8 and 21-22 November, the RER B does not run between Aulnay-sous-Bois and Mitry-Claye, in both directions, during the day as well as in the evening. An evening cut is added on weekdays, from 10:45 pm. The dates are announced by maligneb.fr: reconfirm them on the official site before you leave.

How long does the weekday evening cut last?

The end date is contradictory. Maligneb gives 11 December 2026 inclusive, while Sortir à Paris gives 10 November 2026 inclusive. No operator page could be read to settle it. Until the date is confirmed, assume the 10:45 pm cut may still apply, especially for a night flight or a late return.

Which bus replaces the RER B to CDG during the works?

For the evening cut, maligneb mentions the replacement buses B2, B3 and B4. We found neither their timetables nor their frequencies for November 2026. For a journey where every step can be checked, bus 9517 from Saint-Denis-Pleyel remains the best-documented option.

How much does a taxi from Paris to CDG cost in 2026?

The regulated flat rate is €56 on the right bank and €65 on the left bank, for trips within Paris city limits, according to service-public.gouv.fr. Add €4 for an immediate booking or €7 for an advance booking, and €5.50 from the fifth passenger. The flat rate does not apply to suburban communes.

Is there a night bus to CDG when the RER is not running?

Yes. The Noctilien lines N140 (about 80 minutes to Paris Gare de l’Est) and N143 (about 55 minutes) run every night, every 30 to 60 minutes, for a €2 Bus-Tram ticket, according to cdgfacile. First and last departures are not listed: check them before you leave.

What is the RER ticket to CDG in 2026?

The Paris Region-Airports ticket costs €14 at full fare and €7 at reduced fare, in force since 1 January 2026. Navigo passes for zones 1 to 5 include the trip to the airport. We do not quote a weekly Navigo price, as we could not confirm it on an Île-de-France Mobilités 2026 page.

Does the RoissyBus still run in 2026?

No. Its last service ran on 28 February 2026. Since 1 March 2026, line 9517 run by Transdev has replaced it, between Argenteuil, Saint-Denis and CDG, with a connection to metro line 14 at Saint-Denis-Pleyel. Older guides still mention the RoissyBus: they are out of date on this point.

Does Ryanair bring forward its check-in deadline in November 2026?

According to the press, yes: 60 minutes before departure from 10 November 2026, against 40 minutes today, across the whole network. We did not read a Ryanair statement. Check the rule on your booking confirmation, and allow enough time for the trip to the airport.

Is the CDG Express open?

No. Its opening is announced for 28 March 2027, with a single fare of €25, according to an Ulysse article dated 30 May 2026. That is not an official source. It will not help you during the November 2026 cuts.
