Eight Viator experiences are bookable in Barcelona for the 2027 Three Kings Parade, rated 4.86 to 4.96 out of 5. On January 5, the 11 a.m. bike tour and a cooking class at 2 or 3 p.m. fit around the parade; book the rest for January 4 or 6.

Verified on against the Viator partner API (prices, ratings, availability).

If you are in Barcelona for the Three Kings Parade, January 5, 2027 is a Tuesday, and the announced parade leaves at 6 p.m. and should end around 9:10 p.m. (third-party announcement, route not yet published): the plan is built around that schedule. The parade’s times and route have their own article, Cabalgata de Reyes 2027: Madrid, Barcelona, Alcoy (in Spanish). Here I only keep the essentials, and I focus on another question: which experiences to book, and for which date.

My starting point is simple. For a full day, the most complete choice is the eight-hour full-day tour that links the Sagrada Família, Park Güell and the old town, with hotel pickup. I place it on January 4 or 6, because on the 5th the end of the tour, around 5 p.m., falls just before the parade leaves.

None of the eight experiences retained is a « Three Kings special ». No listing mentions the parade or Epiphany. They are booked around the date, with specific time slots that I flag for each one. Prices come from the Viator check of October 22, 2026, for two adults, per person. Each product is open on all three days, January 4 to 6, and ratings range from 4.86 to 4.96 out of 5.

Why the Three Kings Parade changes the plan in Barcelona

The Three Kings Parade, called Cavalcada de Reis in Catalan, is Barcelona’s big event on the evening of January 5. In the 2026 edition, the Kings arrived at Portal de la Pau square at 4:30 p.m., where the mayor welcomed them, and the procession set off at 6 p.m. The route, published in sections in the local press, went along Passeig de Colom, Paral·lel avenue, the Sant Antoni market and Reina Maria Cristina avenue, before ending around 9:10 p.m. (Nació Digital, 2026 edition). The procession gathered about 1,300 performers over 1.2 kilometers, and one hour is enough to see all of it.

Barcelona streets lit up for the festive season

The starting point differs depending on the source. Nació Digital places it at the Ciutadella, Betevé on Avinguda del Marquès de l’Argentera (Betevé, parade route). I use the Ciutadella in this article, and I flag the gap. The starting point will need checking once the route is published.

For 2027, only one source gives details: a third-party leisure website, published in Catalan and Spanish: Escapada amb Nens. It announces January 5, the Kings’ arrival at Portal de la Pau at 4:30 p.m., a departure at 6 p.m. and an end around 9:10 p.m. It announces a route covering the main streets and squares of the city, without listing them, and says that closed streets will be specified as the date approaches. The times are therefore announced by a third-party source, and the official route is not published. The City of Barcelona’s Christmas pages do not yet give a date or a route for 2027. They announce an update around November 2026.

Three other facts weigh on the choice of experiences. January 5, 2027 is a Tuesday, January 4 a Monday and January 6 a Wednesday. January 6 is Epiphany, a public holiday in Spain: the Sagrada Família opens from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. that day, other venues often follow reduced hours, and the visit to La Boqueria market, included in a cooking class, does not take place that day. Finally, nothing in the sources consulted says whether the parade is free. This article does not claim that it is, and it never describes a 2027 route in the present tense.

The practical consequence is clear. The parade occupies the center during the evening of January 5. The experiences in this list therefore fall into three groups: the morning or early afternoon, before the procession; one slot apart, in the evening; and two outings outside the center, to book for January 4 or 6. The table below compares the eight experiences, and the selection that follows gives the date to keep for each one.

The 8 experiences compared: prices, ratings and availability

The table repeats the figures taken from the Viator partner API on October 22, 2026. Prices are in euros per adult, for two travelers: where there is a range, it runs from the cheapest to the most expensive price, depending on the date or the option. The available-days column counts the days from January 4 to 6, 2027 on which the product is open.

Quick read. The four experiences rated above 4.9 out of 5 are the priority access visit, the cooking class, the Montserrat trip and the flamenco show, but the rating is not enough to choose: the date decides. On January 5, the 11 a.m. bike tour pairs with a class at 2 or 3 p.m.: the 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. classes clash with the bike tour, and the 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. slots fall during the procession. The other evening slots clash with the announced route.

1. Full day: Sagrada Família, Park Güell and the old town

Rating 4.88 (18776 reviews) 8 hours €99.47 per adult (based on 2) Instant confirmation Available 3 days out of 3

This is the only experience on the list that links the Sagrada Família, Park Güell, the old town and the view from Montjuïc in a single day, with nothing to organize yourself. I put it first for that reason: a first visit to Barcelona goes better with a common thread, and hotel pickup between 8 and 9 a.m. saves the morning transfers. The catch is the tickets. The Sagrada Família and Park Güell tickets are not included in the Viator price: they are paid to the guide, at €44 per person according to the supplier’s listing. Add them to your budget before comparing with the priority access visit in the second card. The group has 16 people at most, in an air-conditioned vehicle. On January 5, I don’t book it: the end of the tour, around 5 p.m., falls just before the departure of the parade, announced at 6 p.m. by a third-party source.

  • Hotel pickup between 8 and 9 a.m.
  • Sagrada Família and Park Güell tickets paid to the guide
  • Guides in English or Spanish only

2. Sagrada Família: priority access and guided visit

Rating 4.92 (2240 reviews) 1 h 30 min €89 to €179 per adult (based on 2) Instant confirmation Available 3 days out of 3

The same monument as the first card, but a different experience: an hour and a half centered on the basilica. Priority access skips the ticket queue, the guided visit goes through the interior, and the access also includes the museum and the school. If you only want the Sagrada Família, this is the shortest and most consistent format. If you also want the old town and Park Güell, take the full day in the first card. The rating of 4.92 over more than 2,000 reviews is the best in the selection for the basilica alone. The guide speaks English only, worth noting for a Spanish-speaking group. On January 6, only the 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. departures are offered, according to the listing. The price range, from €89 to €179 per person, depends on the date and the option. The listing does not always explain what sets them apart: read it before you pay.

  • Priority access to the basilica
  • January 6: only 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.
  • Guide in English only

3. Montserrat in a small group, half-day from Barcelona

Rating 4.91 (6867 reviews) 5 h 15 min €54 per adult (based on 2) Instant confirmation Available 3 days out of 3

The Montserrat monastery, in the mountains near Barcelona, is the most classic outing on the list, and the half-day suits anyone who does not want to give up a day of the trip. Round-trip transfer from the center is included, with a professional English-speaking guide and two hours of free time on site. The product exists in a version with or without the basilica ticket. The 8:30 a.m. or 9:30 a.m. departure leaves the late afternoon free. The 1:30 p.m. departure lasts 5 hours 15 minutes and ends around 6:45 p.m.: I rule it out on January 5, when the center gets ready for the parade. On January 6, a public holiday, the monastery’s hours are not confirmed in any of the sources consulted. The product is offered that day, but check the opening before you book. The guide waits at the meeting point set by the provider, recognizable by a burgundy umbrella.

  • Two hours of free time at Montserrat

4. Paella class, market visit and tapas

Rating 4.96 (3280 reviews) 3 hours €121.34 to €123.52 per adult (based on 2) Instant confirmation Available 3 days out of 3

A three-hour paella class with a local chef, with tapas and drinks included: sangria, red wine, water and juice. The format suits anyone who wants to bring back a recipe, not just a photo. The visit to La Boqueria market is part of the program, but the listing specifies that it does not take place on Sundays and public holidays. On January 6, the class runs without the market: if the market matters to you, choose January 4 or 5. The price varies little by date, from €121.34 to €123.52 per person. The meeting point is on Carrer Nou de la Rambla, just off La Rambla, and the listing advises arriving early. The guide speaks English only. On January 5, the 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. slots fall during the parade, and the 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. slots clash with the 11 a.m. bike tour: the most flexible is the 3 p.m. slot.

  • Drinks, tapas and recipes to take home
  • La Boqueria market except on Sundays and public holidays
  • Guide in English only

5. Tapas and wine on foot in the old town

Rating 4.89 (6804 reviews) 3 hours €69 per adult (based on 2) Instant confirmation Available 3 days out of 3

A three-hour walking tour in a small group, with a glass of wine at each stop and tapas at each step. There are two formats: the midday tour starts from La Rambla 97, in front of the Casa Beethoven shop; the evening tour starts from Plaça de Sant Jaume, in front of Pans & Company. On January 5, the product only offers departures at 12 p.m., 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. The late-afternoon tours end around 8 or 9 p.m.: I rule them out if you want to stay free for the parade. The route published for 2026 did not go through the old town, but the 2027 route is not published, so I don’t claim it for this year. The guides speak English or Spanish. Transport and tips are not included.

  • One wine tasted at each stop
  • Midday format or evening format

6. Bike tour of Barcelona: the highlights in 3 hours

Rating 4.86 (1690 reviews) 3 hours €31 per adult (based on 2) Instant confirmation Available 3 days out of 3

Three hours by bike to see the city’s highlights without the fatigue of a walk of the same length. The bike and the guide are included. Monument tickets are not, which matters if you’re aiming for the Sagrada Família: budget for them separately. An e-bike option is available as an extra, from €47 to €160 depending on the package, to be confirmed on the listing. The departure is set for 11 a.m. at the fountain on Plaça Reial, where the guide carries a red umbrella. The 11 a.m. slot is offered all three days, and it is the best choice on January 5: the tour ends around 2 p.m., before the parade leaves. Helmets and child seats are available as options. The rating of 4.86 over more than 1,600 reviews is the lowest in the selection, but the entry price is also the lowest, at €31 per person. The guide speaks English or Spanish.

  • Monument tickets not included
  • E-bike option as an extra

7. Sunset cruise, open bar and tapas

Rating 4.9 (975 reviews) 2 hours €50 per adult (based on 2) Instant confirmation Available 3 days out of 3

A two-hour outing from Port Olímpic, with a professional skipper, an open bar (beer, wine, cava), tapas and water. The product does not guarantee a sunset: the listing gives a single departure at 4 p.m., and I do not announce a sunset time for these dates, as I have no verified reading. Bring your towels, they are not included, and neither is the transfer. The meeting point is a staircase between two large buildings on Calle Marina, to go down to sea level. The listing names French among the languages offered, along with German, English and Dutch, among others: to be confirmed at booking. On January 5, the return is around 6 p.m., just as the parade leaves: I recommend January 4 or 6. The price of €50 per person is the same on all three days.

  • Open bar: beer, wine, cava
  • Towels and transfer not included

8. Flamenco at Casa Sors and guitar museum

Rating 4.96 (2457 reviews) 1 h 15 min €47 per adult (based on 2) Instant confirmation Available 3 days out of 3

A 75-minute show at Casa Sors, with dancers, guitar and singing, a guided visit to the guitar museum, and a meeting with the artists after the show. A tapas dinner can be added as an option. Tips are not included. Along with the cooking class (6 p.m., 7 p.m.) and the evening tapas (5 p.m., 6 p.m.), it is one of the evening appointments on the list, and this one has three slots: 6 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. On January 5, all three fall during the parade: the 6 p.m. slot coincides with the announced departure, the 7:30 p.m. slot with the middle of the procession, and the 9 p.m. slot with its last minutes, the end being announced as late as 9:10 p.m. by a third-party source. Book for January 4 or 6. The listing indicates a guide in English and Spanish, and the meeting point is given in the confirmation.

  • Show ticket and museum visit included
  • Meeting with the artists
  • Slots at 6 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Practical tips for January 4, 5 and 6

Barcelona streets on a winter evening, with passers-by

A plan works well when each day is organized around the parade rather than the other way round. January 4, a Monday with no procession, suits the big days: Montserrat at 8:30 a.m. with a return around 1:45 p.m., then the sunset cruise at 4 p.m., which ends around 6 p.m. January 4 is also the most flexible day to book a cooking class or a walking tour, with no market or parade constraints.

January 5 needs more precision. The 11 a.m. bike tour lasts 3 hours and ends around 2 p.m.: it pairs with a class at 2 or 3 p.m., the 3 p.m. slot being the most flexible. The 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. classes clash with the bike tour. The 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. tapas, and the 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. classes, last 3 hours and run into the parade; the three flamenco slots also fall during the parade. For any evening walking outing, leave a margin: the third-party page announces closed streets without listing them.

January 6, Epiphany, brings reduced hours at several venues. The priority access visit to the Sagrada Família only offers the 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. departures. The cooking class takes place, but without the market visit. Midday tapas, at 11 a.m. or 12 p.m., remain possible. For Montserrat that day, check the monastery’s opening before you book, as none of the sources consulted confirms it.

A few cross-cutting points, to avoid surprises at booking. All eight listings offer instant confirmation and free cancellation, within a deadline set by each listing: check the cutoff date before paying. Tips are not included for the flamenco show or the tapas. Guides mostly speak English and Spanish. The sunset cruise listing is the only one to name French among the languages offered, to be confirmed at booking. For the bike tour, the departure point at the Plaça Reial fountain is reachable from the Jaume I (L4) or Liceu (L3) metro stations. For the walking tours, the sources do not name any metro station: the meeting point, at La Rambla 97 or Plaça de Sant Jaume depending on the format, is given in the listing. For Montserrat, the provider’s meeting point is in the confirmation. Allow a margin.

The last point concerns the calendar. The 2027 parade times remain a third-party announcement until the City publishes the official route. Read the article on times and routes, then come back to check the slots on this list on the day you book: the prices checked on October 22, 2026 may change.

Frequently asked questions

Should you book January 5 to see the parade?

Not necessarily. Most of the eight experiences are best booked for January 4 or 6. On January 5, several evening slots fall on the parade: the 5 p.m. or 6 p.m. tapas, the 6 p.m. or 7 p.m. cooking class, and the 6 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. flamenco. The 11 a.m. bike tour, on the other hand, ends before the procession leaves. The parade’s times and route are in the dedicated article.

Are the Sagrada Família tickets included in the full-day tour?

No. According to the supplier’s listing, the Sagrada Família and Park Güell tickets are paid to the guide, at €44 per person. This amount is added to the price shown on Viator. If you only want the basilica, the priority access visit in the second card includes access to the basilica, the museum and the school, but does not cover Park Güell. Compare the two before choosing.

Is the La Boqueria market visit possible on January 6?

Not in the cooking class. The listing says the market visit does not take place on Sundays and public holidays, and January 6 is Epiphany, a public holiday in Spain. The class still runs that day, at the 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. slots. If the market matters to you, book for January 4 or 5. The price varies little from one date to another.

Is the parade free?

I don’t know for certain, and no source consulted says so. The City of Barcelona’s Christmas pages do not yet give information on the 2027 edition. So do not count on it being free when you set your budget. The experiences in this list, however, have prices checked on October 22, 2026: between €31 and €179 per person for two adults.

Can you visit Montserrat on January 6?

The product is offered all three days, but the sources consulted give neither the monastery’s opening hours nor those of the funicular for the public holiday. Closed-day lists vary from one operator to another. Before booking, check the site’s opening hours for January 6. If the monastery is closed, January 4 remains the right choice, with an 8:30 a.m. or 9:30 a.m. departure.

Which experiences are offered with a French-speaking guide?

Only one listing names French among the languages offered: the sunset cruise, along with German, English and Dutch, among others. This mention remains to be confirmed at booking. Most other listings indicate guides in English, sometimes in Spanish; the flamenco listing indicates a guide in English and Spanish. Check the language before booking if French matters to your group.
