Europa-Park opens for its winter season on 28 November 2026 and closes to day visitors on 9 January 2027, from 11am until at least 7pm. A one-day adult ticket costs €67 to €76, depending on the date. The park is closed on 24 and 25 December.
Checked on against the official sources cited (Europa-Park and GOV.UK).
Winter at Europa-Park: the season goes by « Winter Magic » in English and « Hiver enchanteur » on the park’s French site. Decorations, a Christmas market, an ice rink and a ski school for kids turn the Rust park into a winter setting for six weeks. This guide gathers the dates, prices, hotel packages and access details checked on 25 October 2026, with their sources. We found no dated, usable visitor reviews for this season, so no passage relies on visitor feedback.
1. The winter season at a glance

Winter Magic at Europa-Park, 2026-2027 season
The park stays open every day of the season except 24 and 25 December. It opens at 11am, and closing time is at least 7pm: the park can stay open later depending on crowds. The official « Hiver enchanteur » page is the reference for dates, checked on 25 October 2026.
What to expect
- The park’s Christmas market, with mulled wine (Glühwein), roasted almonds and regional specialities.
- Monaco, the park’s 18th themed world, marked « New » this season.
- FIS Snowkidz, the children’s ski school, with lessons in the afternoon.
- A final winter for the Euro-Mir, whose farewell is set for 9 January 2027.
Want a day out of the park? Viator files a private outdoor escape game, « The Lost Village », under Rust. Its title, though, names Schluchsee: check the meeting point and the distance from Rust on the listing before you book. It isn’t an Europa-Park activity. It takes place outdoors, and winter weather can rule it out on the day you pick. The travel time from Rust hasn’t been checked, so confirm it before you book.
2. Tickets: official prices and the traps to avoid
The price of a day depends mostly on the date and your age. The ranges below come from the official ticket page, checked on 25 October 2026. All prices are in euros, as the park publishes them. The exact price is set when you buy, depending on the day you choose.
| Option | Adult (12 and over) | Child (4 to 11) | Senior (60 and over) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1-day ticket | €67 to €76 | €56.50 to €65 | €56.50 to €65 |
| 2-day ticket | €127 to €143.50 | not listed | not listed |
| Evening ticket | €41.50 to €47 | not listed | not listed |
| Buying on the day | €10 more than the online price | €10 more than the online price | €10 more than the online price |
Source: Europa-Park, ticket page, checked on 25 October 2026. Children aged 0 to 3 enter free.
Two options are worth a word. The evening ticket, at €41.50 to €47 for an adult, is presented by the park as the « Découvrez l’hiver enchanteur » offer (« Discover the enchanted winter »). The pages we checked don’t say what hours it covers or what it excludes, so read the terms at checkout. The 2-day ticket, at €127 to €143.50 for an adult, costs less than two 1-day tickets at the top price, but you need two visit dates.
None of the official pages we checked lists a separate « Winter Magic » ticket. The standard ticket gives access to the season on the date you choose. A tourism listing shows « from €56 » without saying what’s included. That figure is the child or senior rate, not the adult one.
Buy a dated ticket through the right channels
A ticket bought online carries a visit date. A ticket with no date could be converted on the official site, according to one unverified result: the process hasn’t been confirmed. Do it before your visit day, not at the gate.
Resale platforms such as Headout, Tiqets or 1sticket also sell « PK1 2026/2027 » tickets. Several present them as non-refundable and non-transferable. Those are the reseller’s terms, not the park’s, but you live with them as soon as you buy from them.
German regional press has reported a park complaint about fake tickets, and the Swiss cantonal police have warned about online shops that don’t deliver a valid ticket. The rule is simple: start from the official site. For tickets alone, we found no official refund policy during our checks. Read the terms on your basket page before you pay.
3. Calendar: the dates to note
The season breaks into three stretches. From 28 November to 9 January, the park takes all day visitors, except on 24 and 25 December. Sunday 10 January 2027 is reserved for hotel guests and residents. The table below lists the dated milestones.
| Milestone | Date | What it means for you |
|---|---|---|
| Start of the winter season | Saturday 28 November 2026 | Open to the public with tickets |
| Christmas closure | 24 and 25 December 2026 | Park closed on both days |
| Last day for day visitors | Saturday 9 January 2027 | Last day open without an overnight stay |
| Hotel guests and residents only | Sunday 10 January 2027 | Hotel guests and residents only, no ticket window, no ResortPass |
| Farewell to the Euro-Mir | 9 January 2027 | Last season for the ride |
| Daily hours | 11am until at least 7pm | The park can stay open later depending on crowds |
Source: Europa-Park, « Hiver enchanteur » page and seasons and opening hours page, checked on 25 October 2026.
A common mistake involves 10 January. A day visitor without a hotel stay who turns up that day won’t get into the park. Rulantica, the water park in the same resort, is open to everyone that day, with or without a stay. On 31 December, Rulantica opens from 9:30am to 7pm. In winter its prices are €41 to €54 for an adult and €38 to €51 for a child or senior, free under 4, valid until 19 March 2027.
One note on hours: a banner on the same official page reads « 9am to 6pm at minimum », which contradicts the main text, which says 11am. We go with 11am. Check the day’s hours on the site before you leave, especially if you plan to arrive early.
4. Shows, activities and what’s new

The winter programme, item by item
The official programme lists a Christmas market, an ice rink in the Greek world, the Globe Theater in the English world, the Europa-Park Teatro in the Italian world, entertainment in the Austrian world and a Christmas circus. The detailed show schedule was still « being prepared » on the official page we checked on 25 October 2026.
- Monaco, the park’s 18th themed world, marked « New » on the official winter page.
- FIS Snowkidz, a ski school for children, with lessons at 1pm, 1:45pm and 2:30pm. Between lessons, the children can slide down the slope on snow rings. The age range on the official English page is 6 to 12. We found no price: don’t assume one.
- Eurosat sphere mapping, in the French area. The official programme confirms it, but we haven’t checked its showtimes.
- Park Christmas market, with stalls, mulled wine and regional specialities.
Euro-Mir: the last season
The Euro-Mir runs its final season over winter 2026-2027, with a farewell set for 9 January 2027. According to the official page for the ride, the park will replace it with a MACK ride by 2028. If you want a go, this is your last chance.
New attractions that summaries mention but aren’t confirmed
Surpr’Ice, the Ed’s Starlight Parade and the Bellevue Ferris wheel are not confirmed on the official page we checked, even though some summaries mention them. We don’t present them as certain.
5. Which rides stay open in winter?
This is a frequent question, and the answer comes down to two rules. Rides on rails and covered routes are generally open. Outdoor water rides are closed. Between the two, the weather can decide the rest.
Dry rides: open in principle, weather permitting
AI summaries list Blue Fire Megacoaster, Voltron Nevera, WODAN Timburcoaster, Eurosat CanCan Coaster and Arthur as open in winter. The park doesn’t publish an official list by ride on the pages we checked. One guide explicitly describes WODAN as weather-dependent, and the park’s terms say snow, ice, strong wind and extreme temperatures can change shows or rides, without notice.
Water rides: closed
Several guides list these as closed for winter: Atlantica SuperSplash, Fjord Rafting, Donau Dampfer, Quipse Paddle Boats, Tiroler Wildwasserbahn, Litill Island, Wackelsteg und Seilfähre and Wasserspielplatz. The AI summaries also add Poseidon, but the guides don’t agree on that one. We won’t call it: check the park’s official map on the day you visit.
6. Staying on site: packages, overnight stays and changes
The park offers winter packages from €198.50 per person. Only the « Divertissement intégral » package is described as giving access to the entertainment, and its details still need confirming on the offer page. Prices are « from » prices, per person, and vary by date, room type and length of stay. The table lists the offers we noted on the official winter season page.
| Offer | Indicative price | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Divertissement intégral (full entertainment) | from €198.50 per person | Access to the entertainment, details to confirm on the offer page |
| Dinner show | from €260 per person | Stay with dinner show, details to confirm |
| Special | from €333 per person | Enhanced package, the page doesn’t give a full list |
| Arthur hotel supplement | €160 per night | Supplement to stay at the Arthur hotel |
Source: Europa-Park, winter season 2026-2027 offers, checked on 25 October 2026. A 20% discount is announced on selected dates, with no list of dates on the page we checked.
We didn’t find a price grid for an overnight stay alone in December 2026. That’s a gap: check the booking engine for your exact date. Residents and hotel guests get early access, as announced by the park, and 10 January 2027 is the clearest example.
Changing or cancelling a stay: the fees
The official terms for stays with tickets set fees that rise as your arrival gets closer. This is a common sticking point, and it applies to hotel packages, not to tickets bought on their own.
| Time before arrival | Fee charged |
|---|---|
| More than 29 days | Flat fee of €50 |
| Between 28 and 3 days | 50% of the first night’s rate. Extra tickets cancel free of charge, but can no longer be rebooked. |
| Less than 3 days | 80% of the first night’s rate. Extra tickets are charged at 80%. |
Source: Europa-Park, terms for stays with tickets, checked on 25 October 2026.
The shuttle between the hotel and the park has a price list valid until 10 January 2027 on the page we checked. Another version of that page gives a different start date, so check before you book.
7. Getting there: train, car, plane
Europa-Park is in Rust, Germany. The best way to get there depends mostly on where you start and how many people you travel with.
| Mode | Detail | Verification level |
|---|---|---|
| Train | Ringsheim station, TGV INOUI direct service since December 2022 | Official (europapark.de) |
| Car | Exit A5 57b; parking €10 (standard space) or €32 (reserved space) | Official parking; exit from third-party sites |
| Plane | Strasbourg airport, about 58 km, 44 minutes by car | Third-party source, to confirm |
| Freiburg | About 15 to 31 minutes depending on the mode | Third-party source, to confirm |
| Offenburg | About 10 minutes | Third-party source, to confirm |
Source: Europa-Park, sustainable travel by train and access and parking page, checked on 25 October 2026.
By train
From Paris, the TGV INOUI runs direct to Ringsheim, the nearest station to the park. From London, the Eurostar takes you to Paris, and you then continue on the direct TGV INOUI. Allow time in Paris to get from one train to the other. We haven’t checked the winter timetables: look them up on the SNCF site before you book, as they change from one season to the next. From Strasbourg, take a regional train to Offenburg and then a connection to Ringsheim: we haven’t detailed these connections. A RailCoaster service on Saturdays from Basel is listed by a third-party source, with no winter frequency checked.
A shuttle links Ringsheim station to the park. We haven’t checked its fare.
By car
The park has paid parking: €10 for a standard space, €32 for a reserved space. An LK shuttle from the park is listed until 19 December 2026 on the official access page: check that it still runs during your stay.
Passports and border checks
British passport holders can visit Germany without a visa for up to 90 days in any 180-day period. Your passport must have been issued less than 10 years before you arrive, and it must not expire until at least 3 months after the day you plan to leave the Schengen area. The GOV.UK page covers passports only and doesn’t mention ID cards, so travel with your passport, even for a day trip. On your first entry, the EU Entry/Exit System takes your fingerprints and a photo, free of charge, and the digital record is valid for 3 years. According to press reports, Germany has also carried out identity checks at all its land borders since May 2025.
8. Around the park: Christmas markets in Alsace and Baden

Colmar, Offenburg, Freiburg and Strasbourg
If you want to pair the park with a Christmas market, Colmar is the best-documented option in our sources. The city’s markets run from 23 November to 29 December 2026, with the food market and the big wheel until 3 January 2027. The « Noël Féérique » market, on Place Rapp, is announced from 21 November 2026 to 3 January 2027. Hours vary between listings: check the city’s official site before you go.
- Offenburg is the closest: free entry, more than 40 stalls, an ice rink and a fairground ride, according to a local listing. The opening date isn’t confirmed.
- Offenburger Weihnachtscircus: 37 shows from 18 December 2026 to 6 January 2027 at the Messeplatz.
- Freiburg and Strasbourg have well-regarded markets, but we didn’t find their 2026 dates in our sources.
| City | Dates listed | Detail |
|---|---|---|
| Colmar | 23 November to 29 December 2026 | Food market and big wheel until 3 January 2027; hours vary by source |
| Offenburg | Market ends 23 December 2026; opening not confirmed | Free entry, more than 40 stalls, ice rink and ride (listing) |
| Offenburg, Christmas circus | 18 December 2026 to 6 January 2027 | 37 shows at the Messeplatz |
| Freiburg im Breisgau | Not found for 2026 | Check the city’s website |
| Strasbourg | Not found for 2026 | Check with the tourist office |
Sources: évous, jds.fr, swissactivities (Colmar); regioactive (Offenburg), checked on 25 October 2026. Third-party sources: check them before you travel.
9. Indicative budget for a day
The table only uses amounts taken from official pages. Meals, drinks and souvenirs aren’t priced here, as we didn’t check any price list for those.
| Item | Amount | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Adult 1-day ticket | €67 to €76 | Official, ticket page |
| Child 1-day ticket (4 to 11) | €56.50 to €65 | Official, ticket page |
| On-the-day surcharge | +€10 per ticket | Official, ticket page |
| Standard parking | €10 | Official, access page |
| Reserved parking | €32 | Official, access page |
| Dinner show in a hotel, per person | from €260 | Official, winter offers |
Sources: ticket page and access page of Europa-Park, checked on 25 October 2026.
In practice, two adults driving in for a day without a hotel stay, with tickets bought online, pay €144 to €162 with standard parking, and €166 to €184 with a reserved space. Add €10 per ticket if you buy on the day. A couple adding a hotel night should allow from €198.50 per person for the « Divertissement intégral » package, so €397 for two at that starting price, with details still to be confirmed, before shuttle fares or other extras.
Three levers help. Choose the 1-day ticket over the 2-day one if you don’t need two full days. Buy online to avoid the €10 surcharge per ticket. Compare the parking options: a standard space costs €10, a reserved one €32.
10. A typical winter day
A plan based on the hours we confirmed: opening at 11am, ski lessons at 1pm, 1:45pm and 2:30pm, closing at 7pm at the earliest. It’s a starting point, to adjust for crowds and weather.
Arrive before 11am. The park hasn’t published any crowd figures for winter. An early arrival gives you time to see most things. Start with the rides on rails and under cover, which should be open.
Midday. Head to the Christmas market for lunch, then wander through the themed worlds. Winter food stands, such as pop-up bars or raclette, are mentioned in summaries but the park hasn’t confirmed them: plan lunch without relying on them.
Early afternoon. If you have children aged 6 to 12, the FIS Snowkidz lessons run at 1pm, 1:45pm and 2:30pm. Check on site whether you need to sign up: we couldn’t confirm it.
Late afternoon. The Eurosat sphere mapping is on the programme, but we haven’t checked its time: look at the day’s listing.
To finish. The park closes at 7pm at the earliest. If you’re staying at a hotel, getting back is straightforward. If you drive home, keep your passport with you.
11. By traveller type
Families with young children
Children aged 0 to 3 enter free. Those aged 4 to 11 pay €56.50 to €65 for the day. For little ones, the priority is the FIS Snowkidz ski school, whose lessons run in the afternoon, and the Christmas market. Keep in mind that the outdoor water rides are closed: if you’re coming for the water play, summer is the better season.
Couples and friends
The evening ticket, at €41.50 to €47 for an adult, can be enough for an end-of-day visit, as long as you check its hours at purchase. For a night on site, hotel packages from €198.50 per person are a useful reference point. Compare the package with the room-only rate on the booking engine, as we didn’t check that rate for December.
A first visit
Pick a date that isn’t 24 or 25 December, when the park is closed, or 10 January, which is reserved for hotel guests. Buy a dated ticket through the park’s channels, and have a backup date in mind. Read the park map as soon as you arrive: the outdoor water rides are closed, and it’s better to know before you walk to the end of a path.
On a tight budget
The avoidable extra cost is buying on site, which adds €10 per ticket. The second avoidable cost is the reserved parking space, €32 instead of €10. Finally, a hotel stay pushes the bill up: without an overnight stay, the budget stays under control.
People with reduced mobility
Our research doesn’t cover the park’s winter accessibility. Contact the park before your visit and explain your needs, to avoid surprises on site.
Three things to know before you go
- On 10 January 2027, only hotel guests and residents get in. No ticket window, no ResortPass: details in section 3. Source: official « Hiver enchanteur » page, checked on 25 October 2026.
- An adult 1-day ticket costs €67 to €76. A tourism listing shows « from €56 » (third-party source), which matches the child or senior rate, not the adult one. Source: ticket page, checked on 25 October 2026.
- Changing a stay with tickets costs a flat €50 more than 29 days before arrival, then 50% or 80% of the first night’s rate. Details in section 6. Source: terms for stays with tickets, checked on 25 October 2026.
Frequently asked questions
Is Europa-Park open in winter 2026-2027?
Yes. The winter season runs from Saturday 28 November 2026 to Saturday 9 January 2027, opening at 11am and closing at 7pm at the earliest. The park is closed on 24 and 25 December. On Sunday 10 January 2027, access is reserved for hotel guests and residents, with no ticket window. Source: official « Hiver enchanteur » page.
When does Europa-Park close in winter?
For day visitors, the last day is Saturday 9 January 2027. On 10 January, the park only admits hotel guests and residents. Rulantica, the water park in the resort, stays open to everyone that day.
Europa-Park in summer or winter: which should you pick?
We didn’t check summer prices, so the price comparison covers winter only: a 1-day adult ticket at €67 to €76, opening at 11am, closing at 7pm at the earliest, and Rulantica open with rates of €41 to €54 for an adult. A third-party site lists the 2026 summer season as running from 28 March to 25 September; that date still needs confirming on the official seasons page. Winter brings the Christmas market, the decorations and the ski school for children, with rides on rails and under cover generally open. Outdoor water rides are closed.
Which rides stay open in winter?
Rides on rails and covered routes are generally open, subject to the weather: wind, frost and snow can close rides without notice. Outdoor water rides are closed. Some summaries list Poseidon among them, others don’t: check the park map on the day of your visit.
How much does a ticket cost in winter?
A 1-day ticket costs €67 to €76 for an adult, and €56.50 to €65 for a child aged 4 to 11 or a senior, depending on the date. Children aged 0 to 3 enter free. Buying on the day costs €10 more than buying online. The evening ticket, at €41.50 to €47 for an adult, is a separate option. Source: ticket page.
Is the Winter Magic ticket different from the normal one?
Not as far as we know. None of the official pages we checked on 25 October 2026 lists a separate ticket for the winter season. The standard ticket, or the evening ticket, gives access to the park on the date you choose. Confirm it on the checkout page before you pay, as offers can change.
How much does a hotel at Europa-Park cost over the holidays?
Winter packages start at €198.50 per person for the « Divertissement intégral » package, then from €260 for the dinner show and from €333 for the Special package. The Arthur supplement costs €160 per night. We didn’t find a grid for a room-only night in December 2026: check the booking engine for your date.
Can you change a hotel booking?
Yes, but fees rise as arrival gets closer. More than 29 days before, a change costs a flat €50. Between 28 and 3 days, it costs 50% of the first night’s rate. Less than 3 days before, it costs 80%, and extra tickets are charged at 80%.
Should you buy your tickets from a reseller?
No. The park warns about fake tickets, and several platforms resell tickets presented as non-refundable and non-transferable. Buy through the park’s channels, its app or an authorised partner, and check that your ticket is dated.
Are there recent reviews of Europa-Park in winter?
No, not in a usable form. Our research found no dated reviews for the 2025-2026 winter season or the current one. Don’t rely on any undated rating: older reviews may describe a park, prices or rides that have changed.
