Hogwarts in the Snow runs from 14 November 2026 to 17 January 2027 at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London in Leavesden, with an adult ticket at £58.50 (2026 prices), decor included. The studio is about 30 km northwest of London, reachable by train from Euston and then by a shuttle included in the ticket. Timed-slot booking is required.
Checked on against the official Studio Tour pages we consulted.
Hogwarts in the Snow isn’t in central London. The festive set of the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London sits on the Leavesden studio lots, about 30 km northwest of the centre. That changes the maths: the trip starts at London Euston and ends with a shuttle from Watford Junction, so both the budget and the timing need to account for it. This article brings together the dates, official prices, access, the December dinners and the points other guides skip, with the consultation date of each source. Opening hours for the 2026-2027 season aren’t officially published, so we don’t present them as facts.
1. Dates and tickets: what to know before you book

Warner Bros. Studio Tour London, in Leavesden
The official season page announces a run from 14 November 2026 to 17 January 2027 (wbstudiotour.co.uk, Hogwarts in the Snow page, consulted 21 October 2026). Previous seasons followed a very similar calendar, but some resale listings still show 15 November 2025 to 18 January 2026. Only book through the official ticketing.
For the 2026 season, an adult ticket (16 and over) is £58.50, a child ticket (5 to 15) is £47, and the family package is £188 for two adults and two children, or one adult and three children. Under-4s go in free (official ticketing, consulted 21 October 2026). The seasonal decor is included in the standard ticket: there is no extra charge to see Hogwarts in the Snow.
| Category | Price | Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| Adult (16 and over) | £58.50 | Timed slot to book, seasonal decor included |
| Child (5 to 15) | £47 | Timed slot to book, seasonal decor included |
| Family (2 adults and 2 children, or 1 adult and 3 children) | £188 | Group package, timed slot to book |
| Under 4s | Free | Timed entry |
| Priority Parking | £10 | Online booking only |

For a family, the maths matters. Two adults and two children on separate tickets cost £211 (2 × £58.50 + 2 × £47), against £188 for the family package: a £23 gap. With one adult and three children, the gap drops to £11.50 (£199.50 against £188). Check the exact make-up of the package before you choose it, though: it only covers the official configurations.
Key points
- A timed slot is required: the official page says tickets must be booked in advance.
- The seasonal decor is included in the standard ticket, with no separate paid option.
- According to the Getting here page, the shuttle from Watford Junction is part of the official ticket (see section 2).
Viator also sells a full guided tour of the studios (card below). Its price and availability were pulled from the Viator API on 21 October 2026; they may change before you book.
2. Getting there from London: train, shuttle and car
The classic route starts at London Euston. A direct train reaches Watford Junction in about 20 minutes (Getting here page, consulted 21 October 2026). From the station, an electric shuttle takes you to the studio. According to the official page, it is included in the ticket, runs at least every 30 minutes from 9:20 am (a little earlier on some visit days), and makes the last return run at closing time. Live service updates are shown there.
This detail matters. Some resellers present transport as a separate extra and describe the “entry only” option as excluding the shuttle. According to the Getting here page, the shuttle is part of the entry ticket. The ticketing page doesn’t spell it out either, so before you pay for any transport supplement, compare what your booking includes.
| Step | What to know | Detail |
|---|---|---|
| Train | London Euston to Watford Junction | Direct service, about 20 minutes |
| Shuttle | Watford Junction to the studio | Electric, included according to the Getting here page, at least every 30 minutes from 9:20 am |
| Address | Studio Tour Drive, Leavesden | Postcode WD25 7LR |
| Car | On-site parking | Free; Priority Parking £10, online booking only |
| Time on site | Visit time, excluding travel | About 3 hours 30 minutes, according to the Visit London listing and matching secondary sources |

A “ticket and transport” bundle is sold by resellers such as Golden Tours, Holiday Extras or entradasestudiosharrypotter.com. The official ticketing page, checked on 21 October 2026, doesn’t show a price for that bundle, and reseller prices don’t appear on any official page, so we don’t quote them.
One rail heads-up: National Rail has announced engineering works between Watford Junction and Wolverton on 1 November 2026, with replacement buses (National Rail notice, consulted 21 October 2026). That date comes before the season opens. We found no closures for December 2026 or January 2027 in the notices we checked, but check service status on nationalrail.co.uk the day before anyway.

3. What you’ll see in the 2026 set
The castle, forest and Diagon Alley sets
The sets are the film ones, covered up for the season. The official page describes the following (wbstudiotour.co.uk, consulted 21 October 2026):
- The Great Hall, lit by floating candles, with a game of wizard chess.
- The Forbidden Forest, with frosted trees.
- The Diagon Alley shopfronts, frosted over.
- The Gryffindor and Slytherin common rooms, decorated with garlands, wreaths and Christmas cards made by the film crew.
- The Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom, where the Christmas ball waltz plays on a loop.
- The castle model, covered in “filmmaking snow”, the snow used during filming.
- The Butterbeer Bar, set up on the Backlot.
The 2026 novelty is a talk in the Backlot Stage about party sound effects, the work of Foley. If you’ve visited during an earlier season, it’s that talk that’s new, more than the decor itself. The official page doesn’t mention new snow on Diagon Alley.
The decor isn’t sold separately. According to the official page, all of the season’s extras are included in the ticket price, including the talk and the Butterbeer Bar. Drinks and food are extra.
4. Great Hall dinners: sold out at the time of checking
Two dinners are held in the Great Hall in December. The official pages consulted on 21 October 2026 list both as sold out. No price is shown on those pages, so we don’t give a figure, and we’re not announcing any new sale.
| Dinner | Date | Audience | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Family dinner | Friday 4 December 2026 | Adults accompanied by at least one child aged 8 to 17 | Sold out |
| Adult dinner | Monday 7, Tuesday 8 and Wednesday 9 December 2026 | 18 and over, tables of 10 or 12 | Sold out |
Source: official family dinner page and official adult dinner page, checked on 21 October 2026.
The family dinner runs as follows, according to the official page: arrival at 6 pm with drinks and canapés, a studio tour in two groups from 6:45 pm, then a three-course dinner in the Great Hall, with a half bottle of wine or three beers per person and unlimited still water. A cocktail or mocktail is served in the potions room, then a drink on Platform 9¾, a tankard of Butterbeer at the Backlot Café, a green-screen photo and a celebration wand. Each child goes home with a Harry Potter keepsake trunk. The evening ends at 11:30 pm.
Regional press coverage of the 2018 and 2019 dinners mentions two courses and a dessert served on Platform 9¾. Those formats are out of date: rely on the details of the 2026 official page. A general programme page still shows some December dates as “Coming Soon”, but it doesn’t open a new sale. For a dinner, only the page dedicated to that evening counts.
5. Opening times and the festive period: what isn’t published
This is the most-searched question and the least well covered. No official page consulted on 21 October 2026 publishes opening hours for the 2026-2027 season, or the time of the last entry. The figures on third-party guides contradict each other, so we don’t repeat them as facts. Confirm opening, closing and last-entry times on the official ticketing before you go.
The holidays are a special case. The third-party guide christmasinlondon.org announces reduced hours on 24 December, closure on 25 and 26 December and reopening on 27 December. None of these dates appears on an official page we checked, so treat them as unconfirmed.
| Date | Information | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Whole season | Opening and last-entry times | Not published on official pages: check on the ticketing page |
| 24 December 2026 | Reduced hours, time not given | According to christmasinlondon.org, unconfirmed |
| 25 and 26 December 2026 | Closure announced | According to christmasinlondon.org, unconfirmed |
| 27 December 2026 | Reopening announced | According to christmasinlondon.org, unconfirmed |
| 31 December 2026 and 1 January 2027 | No information found | To confirm on the ticketing page |

6. Budget: what to allow for a day out
The ticket isn’t the only cost. The table below separates the priced items, sourced from the official ticketing page, from those we don’t price for lack of a source.
| Item | Solo adult | Family of four (2 adults, 2 children aged 5 to 15) |
|---|---|---|
| Entry ticket | £58.50 | £188 (family package) |
| Shuttle between Watford Junction and the studio | Included | Included |
| Train Euston to Watford Junction | Not priced: check on National Rail | Not priced: check on National Rail |
| Parking by car | Free; Priority Parking £10 | Free; Priority Parking £10 |
| December dinners | Not published, sold out | Not published, sold out |
Source: official ticketing and Getting here page, checked on 21 October 2026.
Three practical levers. Start with the slot: according to resellers, demand concentrates on weekends and holidays, and the third-party sources we checked describe weekdays as quieter. Next, parking is free: only Priority Parking (£10, online booking) costs money, so pay for it only if you need a reserved space. Finally, compare the standalone ticket with the transport bundles resellers sell: their prices don’t appear on the official ticketing page.
The reviews we checked criticise the shop and the price of Butterbeer, but they’re also positive. Yours magazine strongly recommends the visit (2025 season review), the blog Third Eye Traveller calls it essential for a Harry Potter fan, and the family blog Minitravellers finds it a good visit and advises booking early. No 2026 Trustpilot rating was found on the date checked. No food prices appear on the official pages, so we don’t quote any.
7. Families and types of visitor
The ticket is the same for everyone, but the format of the visit changes with the group.
- Families with children aged 5 to 15: the child ticket is £47, and the family package applies depending on the make-up of the group. Under-4s go in free. The family dinner, however, is for adults accompanied by at least one child aged 8 to 17.
- Couples and adult groups: the adult dinner on 7, 8 and 9 December is for 18 and over, at tables of 10 or 12. It was sold out at the time of checking.
Two practical rules apply to everyone. Large bags are subject to checks on entry, and the cloakroom is free, subject to available space. Don’t confuse the season with Nox, the Halloween evening on 29, 30 and 31 October 2026: it runs after closing, with ambient noise, lighting effects and smoke. A reseller says staff may steer you towards a gentler route.
8. What other guides don’t tell you
The guides we checked cover the decor and the ticket. The points below are on the official pages and missing from the excerpts we read on competing guides.
- A new talk in 2026. The Backlot Stage hosts a talk on party sound effects, the work of Foley. The official page presents it as a novelty (wbstudiotour.co.uk, consulted 21 October 2026). It doesn’t appear in the Visit London or Vizeo excerpts we checked.
- The family dinner runs over three courses. The official page describes three courses, a half bottle of wine or three beers per person, and a keepsake trunk per child. Regional press from 2018 and 2019 talks about two courses: those details are out of date (official family dinner page, consulted 21 October 2026).
- The shuttle is included in the official ticket. Some resellers present it as an add-on, or even as missing from “entry only”. The official page says it runs at least every 30 minutes from 9:20 am (Getting here page, consulted 21 October 2026).
- The 2026-2027 dates are the official ones. Resale listings still show 15 November 2025 to 18 January 2026, the previous season. The official page gives 14 November 2026 to 17 January 2027 (wbstudiotour.co.uk, consulted 21 October 2026).
Frequently asked questions
When is Hogwarts in the Snow 2026?
The official season runs from 14 November 2026 to 17 January 2027, according to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London page, consulted 21 October 2026. Resale listings still show the 2025-2026 season: only the dates on the official page count.
How much are the tickets?
For the 2026 season, an adult ticket (16 and over) costs £58.50, a child ticket (5 to 15) £47, and the family package £188 for two adults and two children, or one adult and three children. Under-4s go in free. The seasonal decor is included, with no extra charge. Source: official ticketing, consulted 21 October 2026.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes. The official page says tickets must be booked in advance, for a timed slot. Weekends and school holidays sell out first, according to resellers and regional press. Book as soon as your date is set, especially for the Christmas period: the December dinners were already sold out at the time of checking.
Where is the Studio Tour?
The Warner Bros. Studio Tour London is in Leavesden, about 30 km northwest of central London. For your satnav, the official address is Studio Tour Drive, Leavesden, postcode WD25 7LR (Getting here page). It isn’t in central London, so build the trip into your day.
How do I get there from London?
Take a direct train from London Euston to Watford Junction, about 20 minutes. An electric shuttle, included according to the Getting here page, then takes you to the studio, at least every 30 minutes from 9:20 am.
What are the opening hours?
No official page consulted on 21 October 2026 publishes the 2026-2027 season hours. The figures third-party guides give contradict each other, so we don’t repeat them. Check the opening time and last entry on the official ticketing before you go.
Is the studio open on 25 December?
A third-party guide, christmasinlondon.org, announces closure on 25 and 26 December 2026, reduced hours on the 24th and reopening on the 27th. No official page we checked confirms this, so treat these dates as unconfirmed and check the ticketing before you plan your 25 December.
Can you have dinner in the Great Hall?
Not with a standard ticket. The family dinner on Friday 4 December 2026 is for adults accompanied by a child aged 8 to 17; the adult dinner on 7, 8 and 9 December is for 18 and over. The official pages list both as sold out at the time of checking on 21 October 2026, and no price is published.
How long should I allow on site?
About 3 hours 30 minutes on site, excluding travel, according to the Visit London listing and matching secondary sources checked on 21 October 2026. Add the train, the shuttle and a margin for your timed slot. Half a day is enough for the studio; a full day combines better with something else in London.
Does the ticket include the seasonal decor?
Yes. The official page says all of the season’s decor and extras are included in the standard entry ticket. The decor isn’t a separate paid option, and the Backlot Stage talk is included too.
