1. The match on 8 November 2026
Bengals vs Falcons, Sunday 8 November 2026
The game counts toward the 2026 NFL regular season, in week 9. It is neither an exhibition nor a demonstration, and it goes into both teams’ standings. The NFL presents the event on its match page for Madrid, and the city’s tourism office details access on its dedicated listing.
Kick-off is at 3:30 pm Madrid time. The Bengals’ press release gives 9:30 am Eastern time. On 8 November, Madrid and New York are both on standard time, the gap is six hours, so both times point to the same kick-off. If you see « 9:30 am » on a US site, don’t read it as a local Spanish time.
Does Real Madrid play at the Bernabéu the same day? According to a secondary calendar, Real Madrid play away, against Valencia, on the weekend of 7-8 November. The date and time still need to be confirmed with LaLiga.
In 2025, the Miami Dolphins played the Washington Commanders at the Bernabéu on Sunday 16 November 2025, according to the press. On 3 March 2026, the Community of Madrid announced a multi-year agreement with the NFL covering 2026 and 2027. No 2027 date is confirmed in the sources we consulted.

General admission sales opened on Thursday 9 July 2026 at 12:00 pm Madrid time, and they remain open as of this check. The official channel is nfl.tmtickets.es, the NFL’s ticketing site for Spain, described in the sales windows published by the NFL. We did not check availability category by category: don’t rely on any claim that tickets are « sold out » or « almost gone », in either direction.
Buying requires an NFL Ticketmaster account. The NFL requires it to buy a ticket for an NFL game in Europe in 2026. You create it on nfl.com, using a account creation guide published for previous editions. Create the account before you pay, checking the details of each traveller. The limit is six tickets per account and per game. Tickets are sent by email to the booking address, up to 72 hours before kick-off.
In 2025, fans reported queues, error messages and websites going down on the day of the sale, according to the press. For 2026, general sale is already open: you don’t need to rush, but it’s better not to leave creating your account until the last few days.

3. Getting to the Bernabéu: line 10 is suspended
Metro suspended between Cuzco and Nuevos Ministerios until the end of 2026
This is the point that changes usual itineraries the most. The Regional Transport Consortium of Madrid (CRTM) published a notice on 19 March 2026, updated in September 2026, announcing the suspension of line 10 between Cuzco and Nuevos Ministerios from 28 March 2026 until the end of the year. The Santiago Bernabéu station lies between those two points. Listings that cite line 10 as a direct access to the stadium without any caveat are therefore incomplete.
The press reports a partial reopening: the stretch between Plaza de Castilla and Cuzco is said to have reopened on 25 August 2026, after the summer works. The station works are due to finish in the first quarter of 2027 according to eldiario.es, while another aggregator points instead to the third quarter of 2027. There is therefore no reliable date for a return to normal before 8 November.
The replacement S10 bus is free. It runs at street level between Plaza de Castilla and Nuevos Ministerios, with a stop at Santiago Bernabéu. The CRTM also announces extra services on line 1, line 9, buses 27 and 147 and several Cercanías lines. This is the option to choose if you stay in the centre and want to avoid the walk from the station.

If you arrive in Madrid by train, the trip usually goes through Barcelona. According to one travel source, allow about ten hours from Paris, with a change at Barcelona-Sants. Fares reported by the travel press start at around €100 when booked in advance, with no guarantee for a given date.
For Barajas airport, metro line 8 leaves from Nuevos Ministerios, the point where the S10 bus replaces line 10. It takes about 13 minutes to T1, T2 and T3, and about 18 minutes to T4. Trains run every 5 minutes, from 6:05 am to 2:00 am. These times come from a secondary source and should be confirmed before you travel. Cercanías lines C1 and C10 only serve terminal T4, not T1, T2 or T3.
4. The weekend in Madrid, day by day
Saturday and Sunday: market, museum and tapas before the match
For Saturday 7 November or Sunday evening, the Mercado de San Miguel is a possible stop. Its official opening hours, according to a secondary source, are 10:00 am to midnight from Sunday to Thursday, and 10:00 am to 1:00 am on Friday, Saturday and the eves of public holidays. The market is on Plaza de San Miguel, served by Ópera metro (lines 2 and 5) and Sol (lines 1, 2 and 3). Sunday 8 November is the eve of the Monday public holiday, according to a union source: the eve-of-holiday hours (1:00 am) could apply, but this is not confirmed for that date.
Sunday is match day. The Museo Reina Sofía offers a free slot from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm, with a mandatory online booking. It falls just before you leave for the stadium: if your journey is long, it is better to visit the museum on Saturday, at the full price of €12 for general admission. The booking rules shown on the museum site are not dated, so check them before you pay.
Monday 9 November is a public holiday in Madrid according to a union source, and the Reina Sofía is closed that day. Nothing is confirmed for the other museums or for public services.

5. Weather and what to wear: November in Madrid
AEMET’s climate normals for the Retiro station, over 1981-2010, give an average November temperature of 9.9 °C, average highs of 13.5 °C and average lows of 6.3 °C. On average, 58 mm of rain falls over about 6.5 days. These normals are old, and no reliable forecast exists for 8 November at the date of this check.
The game is played in the mid-afternoon, with kick-off at 3:30 pm. A windproof or a light waterproof, walking shoes for the street-level journeys and a warm layer are enough in most cases.

The match ticket costs €186.80 for two adults in category 10, and €877.50 in category 1. These are official prices, all fees included, checked on 11 October 2026. They do not include accommodation, for which no verified rate exists for the night of 7 to 8 November.
The stadium guided tour comes on top of this budget. The Viator check of 11 October 2026 gives €400 per adult for a date of 8 November 2026 (based on 2 adults), across three slots open that day. That check is not a confirmation from Real Madrid: for match day, the visit is not confirmed. Set your budget around the date you choose, and around a visit the club confirms.
The Reina Sofía costs €12 per person for general admission, and its free Sunday slot requires a booking. The S10 replacement bus is free. No verified hotel rate was found for the night of 7 to 8 November: the listings we looked at give neither a date nor a number of guests, and they should not be taken as a reference.
To save without giving up the game: take category 10 if the budget is tight, visit the museum on Saturday, and only book the stadium tour if you really want to see inside the Bernabéu, for a date the club confirms.

Families with children
Children pay €47.08 in category 10 and €66.15 in category 8, according to the official prices. The Reina Sofía announces free entry for under-18s, subject to the conditions shown when you book. To keep journeys short, choose accommodation near line 1 or line 9, and keep the S10 bus for the Sunday trips.
First NFL game
For a first game, the simplest is to arrive early and not count on line 10. Category 10 at €93.40 gives access to the same match as category 1, at a lower price. Your category does not change the kick-off time.
Tight budget
The cheapest ticket is €93.40 per adult. Saturday at the Reina Sofía, at the full €12 price, costs less than the stadium guided tour listed above, and the S10 bus is free. A stadium tour is not essential to enjoy the weekend.
Reduced mobility
The NFL published an accessibility guide for the 2025 edition. It describes access for people with reduced mobility, but it covers the previous edition: confirm the entry points and wheelchair spaces with the ticket office before you buy, and plan the street-level bus rather than line 10 if the station is a problem.
What other guides don’t tell you
The following points are checked against official open sources as of 11 October 2026, except the public holiday on 9 November, which relies on a union source.
