The Innsbruck stop of the Four Hills Tournament takes place on 2 and 3 January 2027 at the Bergisel, according to the organiser. The 2nd is planned for the women’s competition and the 3rd for the men’s, in a FIS calendar that is still provisional. Official tickets range from €14.45 to €109, standing room only.

Checked on against the official sources cited (the stop’s organiser, Innsbruck Tourismus, ZDFheute).

As of 22 October 2026, the organiser lists the Innsbruck stop for 2 and 3 January 2027 at the Bergisel, while some pages we checked only show the 2026 dates (3 and 4 January). The full calendar isn’t final, and several practical details haven’t been published yet. This guide separates what is confirmed, what is planned and what is still unknown, with the date each piece of information was checked.

1. The Bergisel, a jump you can also visit outside competition

The Bergisel ski jump

Innsbruck stop 2 and 3 January 2027 Record: 138.0 m 48 m tower

The jump is a 48 m concrete tower, with a K-point of 120 and a hill size (HS) of 130, according to the French Wikipedia page on the jump, checked on 22 October 2026. The summit has a 150-seat café and a roof terrace that can hold 180 people. You can climb 255 steps on foot, or take an inclined lift.

What to know

  • For the competition, the stadium only has standing places, according to the organiser.
  • The tower can be visited outside competition days, but its opening hours and access prices aren’t confirmed by an official source.
  • The jump’s record, 138.0 m, was set by Michael Hayboeck in 2015.
Pixidia tip: none of the stadium tickets we found in our Viator search covers 2 and 3 January 2027. The official competition ticket remains the reference. The tour below, bookable on both days, is not a ticket for the stadium.

2. 2027 dates: what is confirmed and what isn’t

The organiser of the Innsbruck stop lists 2 and 3 January 2027 on its official page, with no caveat shown. This fits the FIS draft calendar published in May 2026: the women’s competition on 2 January, the men’s on 3 January. The calendar is still a draft, not a final programme. Start times haven’t been published.

The table below shows the status of each stop as of 22 October 2026.

Three points remain open. First, Garmisch-Partenkirchen isn’t confirmed. A financial dispute is pitting the German Ski Association (DSV) against the Bavarian organiser. According to Bild, as reported by ZDFheute, a price increase of around 30% is under discussion. The DSV says it is « cautiously optimistic », but no public decision had been found when we checked. We therefore give no date for this stop.

Next, for Bischofshofen, ZDFheute gives 5 January 2027 and an aggregator gives 6 January. We’re not picking one: only the organiser of that stop can settle the question.

Finally, the women’s tour is a project for the 2026/27 season, with events on the men’s qualifying days, according to the FIS draft. The 2026/27 broadcast schedule wasn’t published as of 22 October 2026.

3. Tickets: official prices, resale and pitfalls

The 2027 price on the Innsbruck Tourismus event listing ranges from €14.45 to €109. The listing doesn’t say which price matches which area, so you can’t know in advance which rate your seat falls under. The stadium only has standing places. The organiser directs ticket sales to the online shop run by Ski Austria.

Resale platforms show up in search results. The one we looked at, TixPost, displays the words « official resale », but it sets its prices seller by seller, and they can be above or below face value. It isn’t the organiser’s ticket office.

On attendance, a sponsored article on tt.com mentions around 21,000 spectators at the previous edition. We found no official 2026 figure. For times, the same sponsored article says the 2026 edition opened the gates at 11am on qualifying day and at 10am on competition day. Those times apply to 2026 and shouldn’t be used for 2027.

Finally, the 2027 sale dates weren’t found in the sources we checked. Watch the official shop rather than a resale site.

4. Staying in Innsbruck: getting there, getting around and budget

Getting to Innsbruck

From London, Jet2 announced in July 2026 a weekly Saturday service from London Stansted to Innsbruck, running from 19 December 2026 to 10 April 2027, which covers Saturday 2 January. We found no other direct London flight in the sources checked. Schedules can change, so confirm the timetable on Jet2’s site before you book, as reported by Travel Gossip. Our sources found no direct flight from Paris either.

Innsbruck’s central station (Hauptbahnhof) would be the arrival point for trains from Munich, Vienna, Salzburg and Italy; this is not sourced yet.

Innsbruck airport is about 6 km from the Bergisel, according to the private transfer provider Transfeero, which offers a private transfer from €56.49, tolls included (page updated 10 June 2026). Public bus links between the airport and the centre aren’t confirmed by an official source. From the central station, getting to the Bergisel is by bus or taxi: the bus line hasn’t been checked, and the trip from the station to the jump hasn’t been timed.

Driving to Innsbruck

The Austrian motorway vignette for ten days, for cars, is listed at €12.80 by Le Journal Auto and Autovig, in search extracts we didn’t read in full; another provider gives €12.40. The official ASFINAG page returned a 404 error when we checked, so check the price on the official shop before you travel. No parking data for the event turned up, so don’t count on a space nearby without checking. Our guide to the Austrian e-vignette for 2027 explains how to buy it.

Getting around on the spot

The Sightseer, a hop-on hop-off sightseeing bus, passes the Bergisel and the Tyrol Panorama Museum. Its 24-hour ticket costs €25 for an adult, €15 for a child or a person with a disability, and €71 for a family, according to innsbruck.info (undated page, checked 22 October 2026). The price of the Innsbruck Card wasn’t checked on the official site.

What we don’t price

We found no sourced accommodation rate for January 2027, so the table below leaves that line without a figure rather than estimating it. Meals aren’t priced either. The tourist tax wasn’t checked.

5. Bergisel lighting and 2026 news

Whether a women’s event can be held in the evening depends on the jump’s lighting. ZDFheute reported in October 2025 that the lighting project, estimated at €4.5 million, would be delayed by at least a year for budget reasons. A May 2026 article mentions a new installation, without official confirmation, so we’re not taking a position.

For your trip, this changes one thing: if you’re aiming for a women’s evening event, wait for the official programme before fixing your stay around that evening.

6. The Bergisel, a history that starts in 1809

The Bergisel site is tied to the Tyrolean uprising of 1809: four battles were fought there between April and November. The panorama of the battle of 13 August 1809 is now displayed at the Tyrol Panorama Museum, at the foot of the hill, on the Sightseer route.

7. Depending on your profile

  • First time at a ski jumping competition. The stadium is standing room: bring warm clothes and comfortable shoes, and don’t count on a seat. The cheapest official ticket we found is €14.45, the most expensive €109.
  • Travelling with family. The Sightseer links the Bergisel and the centre without a car. It costs €15 for a child and €71 for a family over 24 hours, according to innsbruck.info.
  • On a tight budget. The competition ticket starts at €14.45, but your real cost depends on how you get there. By car, add the vignette (€12.80 for ten days, to check on ASFINAG) and fuel. By private transfer from the airport, the trip starts at €56.49.
  • Reduced mobility. The inclined lift is an alternative to the 255 steps. We didn’t find detailed accessibility information from an official source: ask the organiser before booking.
  • Extending your trip in Germany or Austria over the holidays. Our guide to the 2026-2027 Christmas holidays in Germany, state by state covers the calendar of all 16 German states for that period.
  • Combining with Vienna. If your trip passes through the Austrian capital over New Year, our guide to the Vienna New Year’s Concert 2027 covers the concert on 1 January 2027.

8. A possible itinerary and mistakes to avoid

A possible itinerary, without invented times

  • Arrive the day before. Arrive the evening before the first competition day to leave some margin for transport, since the day’s timings aren’t published yet.
  • Competition day. 2 January 2027 is planned for the women’s event and 3 January for the men’s competition. Keep the day for the stadium, and plan to stand.
  • Morning or afternoon free. The Sightseer passes the Bergisel and the Tyrol Panorama Museum: an easy way to link the jump, the panorama and the centre.
  • Evening in town. The winter hours of the Nordkette cable car aren’t confirmed: check them before planning the evening.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Taking the 2026 dates (3 and 4 January) for 2027.
  • Buying on a resale platform without comparing with the official shop.
  • Booking a flight or accommodation based on a date that isn’t confirmed: Garmisch isn’t confirmed, and Bischofshofen is either 5 or 6 January 2027.
  • Counting on the Bergisel lighting for a women’s evening event: ZDFheute reported in October 2025 that the project would be delayed by at least a year.

What other guides don’t tell you

Five points, checked on 22 October 2026, are missing from the pages we read or are given differently there.

  • The Innsbruck stop falls on 2 and 3 January 2027, not 3 and 4 January. The French Wikipedia page on the jump and the AI-generated search answers we checked don’t give this 2027 date. The organiser publishes it on its official page (checked 22 October 2026).
  • The stadium only has standing places. The TixPost site and the Innsbruck Tourismus listing don’t mention this. The organiser states it on its official page (checked 22 October 2026).
  • The official 2027 price ranges from €14.45 to €109. TixPost doesn’t give an official price, and the Innsbruck Tourismus listing doesn’t say which price matches which area (checked 22 October 2026).
  • Garmisch-Partenkirchen isn’t confirmed for 2026/27. It’s missing from the FIS draft calendar, because of a financial dispute between the DSV and the organiser. ZDFheute, 8 May 2026 (checked 22 October 2026).
  • The Bergisel lighting project is announced for at least one year’s delay. ZDFheute reported this in October 2025, for budget reasons, in a €4.5 million project. A May 2026 article mentions an installation, without official confirmation. ZDFheute, 6 October 2025 (checked 22 October 2026).

Check the official shop before you travel, and compare prices before buying on a resale site.

Will Garmisch take place in 2026/27?

Not confirmed as of 22 October 2026. Garmisch-Partenkirchen isn’t in the FIS draft calendar, because of a financial dispute between the DSV and the Bavarian organiser. The DSV says it is cautiously optimistic, with no public decision. We therefore give no date for this stop. Watch for the official announcement before booking anything connected with Garmisch.
