The most realistic way to see the League of Legends Worlds 2026 in person is to aim for a Swiss stage day in Allen, Texas, or the New York Fan Fest. The tournament runs from 15 October to 14 November 2026, with the Play-In in Los Angeles, the main rounds in Allen and the final at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on 14 November. Official tickets are almost sold out. Sort out your ESTA ($40.62 from 16 October) and check Ticketmaster before you book a flight.

Want to catch your first esports tournament live? The League of Legends Worlds are back in North America. This is the first edition played across three cities: Los Angeles, Allen in Texas, then Brooklyn for the final. Let’s be straight about it: official ticket sales are closed and resale prices are eye-watering. This guide tells you what’s still possible, roughly what it costs, and how to do it without going broke or getting scammed. All ticketing data is as of 6 October 2026.

1. Brooklyn: the 14 November final at the Barclays Center

Barclays Center, Brooklyn (New York)

Final on 14 November 2026 About 19,000 seats Kick-off 7 pm UK time Fan Fest 12 to 14 November

The final is a best-of-five at the Barclays Center, 620 Atlantic Avenue, with a 2 pm New York kick-off (7 pm in the UK). According to Wikipedia, it’s the first Worlds final held on the US East Coast. It’s also the most spectacular stage of the tournament, and the most expensive.

Getting there is easy by New York standards. According to the Barclays Center, the Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr station is served by nine subway lines, and the Long Island Rail Road’s Atlantic Terminal is right across the street. If you’re staying a few days, have a look at our comparison Empire State Building or Top of the Rock to pick your view over the city.

What to know before aiming for Brooklyn

  • The New York Fan Fest is announced for 12 to 14 November, with an Artist Alley, according to leagueoflegends.com. The venue and the price had not been published as of 6 October.
  • Hotels around the arena run from roughly $75 to over $600 a night according to booking aggregators, outside event dates. Expect final week to sit at the top of that range.
  • Third-party sites report that backpacks are banned at the Barclays Center. Check the rule on the venue’s website in the week of 14 November.
Pixidia tip: even without a final ticket, a New York trip around 12 to 14 November is still worth it thanks to the Fan Fest. On safety, the UK government says violent crime rarely affects tourists but advises care in unfamiliar areas, and avoiding walking alone through quieter neighbourhoods at night.

2. Allen (Texas): the best compromise for a first tournament

Credit Union of Texas Event Center, Allen

23 October to 8 November 2026 About 8,000 seats Hotels from €65-115 outside event dates 9 to 22 °C in early November

This is where the Swiss stage (23 to 26 October, then 28 to 31 October), the quarter-finals (3 to 6 November) and the semi-finals (7 and 8 November) are played. According to the CUTX Event Center, the venue is at 200 E. Stacy Road, about 27 miles (43 km) from Dallas-Fort Worth airport. Allen is the first city in Worlds history to host three consecutive stages, according to Community Impact.

The venue’s website doesn’t give a capacity: sources say 8,100 to 8,600 seats, less than half of Brooklyn. For a newcomer, that’s a smart trade-off: the atmosphere is intense, tickets are less scarce than for the final, and everything costs far less than in New York. Aggregators list, for example, a Hampton Inn about half a mile (0.8 km) from the venue at around €70-76 a night, but those are non-event prices and they’ll climb during the matches.

The format in 30 seconds

Sixteen teams play the Swiss stage: each team keeps playing until it reaches 3 wins (qualified) or 3 losses (eliminated). The eight qualifiers then move to a knockout bracket, best-of-five. One rule shapes team strategy: with « Fearless Draft », a champion already played in a series can’t be picked by either team in later games. Source: LoL Theory.

How to get there

  • Allen is a typical American suburb: you get around by car. I couldn’t find a direct light-rail link from the airport, so plan on a hire car or a rideshare. To compare rental companies, you can check Localrent. From London, check non-stop options to Dallas-Fort Worth before looking at connections.
  • City guidance: a clear bag of 36 x 36 x 15 cm (about 14 x 14 x 6 in) at most is mentioned by Visit Allen. The exact event rule needs confirming before the day.
  • The weather swings fast: around 22 °C in the afternoon and 9 °C in the evening around 1 November. Pack a jacket.
Pixidia tip: if you can only pick one stage, go for a Swiss stage or quarter-final day in Allen. It’s the best balance of accessibility, atmosphere and budget. Prices for these sessions haven’t been published: rely on Ticketmaster at the time you book, not on an estimate.

3. Los Angeles: the Play-In in a 300-seat venue

Riot Games Arena, Los Angeles

15 to 18 October 2026 About 300 seats 11 am in Los Angeles, 7 pm in the UK Resale from $333 listed

The Play-In opens the tournament at 12333 Olympic Blvd, from 15 to 18 October. Four teams play a double-elimination bracket and only one qualifies for the Swiss stage, according to Global Game Guide. It’s the most intimate stage but also the hardest to get into: on the resale market, TickPick listed seats from $333 (about €296) for 16 October on 6 October, and some dates with no price at all.

For a traveller coming from the UK, it’s the least practical stage: nobody passes through Los Angeles « on the way », and the teams playing here can be knocked out right in this phase. That’s the case for Karmine Corp, the French club qualifying for the Worlds for the first time in its history, according to EsportNow. It could start in the Play-In according to some sources: check its starting slot on lolesports.com before buying a flight.

Heads up: Los Angeles is huge and car-dependent, and safety varies a lot from one neighbourhood to the next. The UK government advises care in unfamiliar areas. Check your hotel’s location and your route to the arena before you book.

4. Tickets: what’s still possible as of 6 October

Fan First, Ticketmaster and resale

Fan First registration closed Face value: $100 to $350 depending on sources Resale: $1,600 to $3,200 advertised Riot email = Ticketmaster email

Official sales went through Riot’s « Fan First » system: registration from 1 to 30 June with a Riot account, a unique code, a virtual queue on Ticketmaster and 24 hours to buy. On 6 October, the lolesports.com/tickets page says the eligibility period is over. A second wave took place on 1 September for people already registered, according to Strafe. So you can no longer enter the scheme.

Riot acknowledges that « the number of eligible fans far exceeded the number of tickets available », as quoted by Insider Gaming. The same outlet mentions around 430 final tickets in general sale according to dataminers, which Riot hasn’t confirmed.

Prices: what’s known and what isn’t

  • Face value: Riot doesn’t publish a price grid. Two ranges are circulating for the final, $120 to $350 on one side and $113.50 to $257.05 on the other (Ticketmaster listings, according to PCGamesN). Go with « somewhere around $100 to $350 », with no official confirmation.
  • Resale: listings of $1,600 to $3,200 for standard final seats, and up to $169,000 for a box, spotted in late July by Gaming HQ. These are asking prices, not completed sales.
  • Swiss stage and quarter-finals in Allen: no sourced price so far.
How not to get scammed: only buy on a platform with a refund guarantee, never by direct bank transfer to a stranger, and be wary of « PDF tickets »: entry is with a Ticketmaster mobile ticket. The email on your Ticketmaster account must match the one on your Riot account, otherwise the purchase isn’t valid.

A market habit: seats can reappear on Ticketmaster a few days before matches. It isn’t a rule announced by Riot, so don’t lock in a non-refundable flight on that hope alone.

5. Entering the US: ESTA, passport and the border

ESTA, health insurance and time difference

ESTA required, valid for 2 years $40.27 until 15 Oct., $40.62 after 90 days maximum Time difference: New York is 5 h behind

According to the UK government, British citizens need either an ESTA or a valid US visa before travelling, and your passport must be valid for the length of your stay. A tourist stay under the ESTA is limited to 90 days. You apply only on the official site, esta.cbp.dhs.gov. The fee goes from $40.27 to $40.62 from 16 October, according to Buch dein Visum, or about €36. The real issue isn’t those 35 cents but the timing: apply several days, ideally two to three weeks, before you leave. We cover the formalities in our entry rules guide for UK fans.

Points to watch

  • The ESTA form may ask for your social media accounts. A proposal published in the Federal Register on 10 December 2025 provides for it, but I couldn’t confirm its final application: check the form when you apply. Separately, the UK government notes that officers may ask to inspect your devices and social media activity, and can delay or deny entry if you refuse.
  • An approved ESTA doesn’t guarantee entry: the border officer decides on arrival. Keep your match tickets, hotel booking and return ticket with you.
  • Health insurance is essential. The UK government warns that « medical treatment is expensive and there are no special arrangements for British visitors », so NHS cover won’t help you there. Our travel insurance comparison helps you choose.
  • New York is 5 hours behind the UK, shrinking to 4 hours from 25 October to 1 November because the UK changes its clocks before the US. Dallas is 6 hours behind (5 hours over the same week) and Los Angeles 8 hours (7 over that week). Double-check with a time converter. To limit the fatigue, read our anti-jet-lag techniques.
Pixidia tip: for the political questions around travelling to the US right now, our article on « resentful travel » gives some food for thought. The official travel advice remains the reference for safety.

6. Match times in UK time

According to Insider Gaming and Altchar, here are the daily start times, converted for the UK (BST until 25 October, GMT after). Late-October Swiss stage times should be reconfirmed the day before, because of the European clock change on 25 October.

Quarter-finals and semi-finals (Allen)3 to 8 November10 pm

7. Budget: what’s sourced and what’s an estimate

Exchange rate used: 1 dollar is worth about 0.89 euro (Frankfurter, 6 October 2026). I don’t put a figure on the flight: no reliable price could be found for London to Dallas or New York on these dates. Check a comparison site on the day you book.

The cheapest scenario for a first taste: a New York stay built around the Fan Fest, with no match ticket. The most likely way to see a match in the arena: one or two days in Allen. Work out your budget from these lines, not from an average.

Watching from the UK

Twitch and YouTube, free Matches from 5 pm to 10 pm UK time Cinema: 2026 dates not published Watch parties to be confirmed

Matches are streamed free on Twitch (twitch.tv/riotgames), on YouTube LoL Esports and on lolesports.com, according to Global Game Guide. The evening start times suit a UK audience well.

  • Cinema: for the 2025 final, Riot organised screenings in more than 100 cinemas across 25 countries in the EMEA region, at about €18 a seat (Breakflip). For 2026, the lolincinemas.com site exists, but no date or venue was listed on 6 October.
  • Watch parties: Karmine Corp has filled venues in France and reached the LoL final of the Esports World Cup in Paris in July 2026, according to Geekslands. No Worlds watch party is confirmed as of 6 October: keep an eye on its social channels and on your local esports venues.
  • New York Fan Fest: free entry is likely, since the London 2024 and Chengdu 2025 Fan Fests were free, but no official source confirms the venue or the price for 2026.
Pixidia tip: if you’re watching from the UK, remember the Worlds are played on US hours: quarter-finals and semi-finals start around 10 pm. Plan your week accordingly.
